Wraith here, ready to deliver the best damn column on the net. Today, the column will be a little bit different from the usual. Today, I will compare WCW with WWF. You be the judge if you like it or not. Also, there will be a new poll, with the results from last week's poll. A Cool Thing Of The Week will also be available as well. Missed an issue of "Wraith's Thoughts"?. A complete archives of this column is here
Let's Begin!

In every federation, you will always find something similar to an other organisation. Somethings are obvious ans something are slightly changed. In this issue, I will compare the WCW and the WWF.

The Austin hates McMahon saga is going on now for about 10 months. Remember how it started? McMahon was about to make a major announcement on Tyson's involvment at Wrestlemania XIV but Austin interupted the "ceremony". Well the hate that Austin and McMahon have for eachother is undescribable. Needless to say, it is a huge success. And what do we see just over a month ago in WCW? Bishoff jealousy finally showed. He tried to start a similar feud beetween himself and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. I was watching Raw that time, but I read the results on the net, I was completely shocked. I can't believe Bishoff reproduced McMahon's best idea... Well, we all know how low can Bishoff go...

Who is tired and/or sick of seing Goldberg being undefeated. Well I certainely am. But this gimmick has already existed. The older WWF fans will certainely remember "Hulkamania". Hulk Hogan was undefeated for quite a while at the WWF. So Bishoff ripped off McMahon another time. I don't know why Bishoff is employed by the WCW. He is not original and his thoughts suck! I think WCW would be better if they had someone to replace Bishoff.

LOD and The Outsiders are also very similar. LOD were a legend, they made their returnand won the Tag belts. Then they seperated, then came back as LOD 2000. But then Hawk had drinking problems and had to go to rehab. The Outsiders were in the Black and White NWO. They won the tag titles, the NWO growed, and then they seperated, and Hall was doing the "drunk" angle. I don't remember who did the drunk angle first but what I do know, is that Hall does it a little bit better than Hawk. No offense Hawk! Is that the first good thing that I said about WCW all night? But on Raw last week, Hawk jumped from the Titantron to the floor and that really impressed me. But what impressed me the most, is that Paul Ellering came out and he told Hawk to not jump because we all cared about him. That is the first time I have seen Paul in quite a while but what is he doing there?

Now, this is simple. Sting = Ken Shamrock. They maybe don't have the same fighting style, but they are the same to me when I watch them. They, both, normally finish their opponents with their submission maneouvers. But the only difference is that Sting is more of a main-eventer than Shamrock. When Shamrock is wrestling, it will, most of the time, be in the middle of the card, but when Sting wrestles in will be the second to last match or something like that. Currently, McMahon is trying to make Shamrock more of a main-eventer. Slowly, Shamrock is gettin' there.

Next, is a rare case that WWF copied WCW. In the Edge-Raven case. Edge is basically the same gimmick. Raven, when he entered, he was a non-talkable person, with a cold heart, but good wrestling skills. Edge was supposed to be a carbonate copy of Raven, but Edge is more open person, but most importanly, he is a fan-favorite. Well he was before his heel change. Raven had the Flock, Edge has the Brood.

Other wrestlers like Chris Jericho, Kane, Gangrel, Val Venis, Buff Baggwell, Lodi, Hollywood Hogan, Brian Christopher, D-Lo or Scott Steiner are original wrestlers, with a different gimmick, and who own a different style. Chris Jericho is one of a kind, Kane is certainely a change from the everyday, Gangrel is a vampire, Val Venis makes girls scream, Buff Baggwell is original, Lodi what more can I say, Hollywood Hogan, maybe old but a big ego, Brian Christopher = gay and that's very original, D-Lo the little crybaby and Scott Steiner is whatever he is supposed to be. Originality and gimmicks are a very important factor for every organisation and I think I give that point to the WWF.

Now here is my thoughts. I will compare WCW and WWF on 10 points and choose which one is better. Here it goes:

WWF DOMAIN WCW
1- X Commentators
2- X Gimmick Originality
3- Luchadores X
4- Finishing Moves X
5- $$$ X
6- X Fast Paced Action
7- X Nitro/Raw settings
8- Secondary Shows/House Shows X
9- Wrestler's experience X
10- X Young talented rookies

So this shows that WWF and WCW are extremely close. I prefer the WWF by far, but WCW is not bad after all.
