GOLDBERG - The Greatest World Heavyweight Champion Of All Time
"GOLDBERG... GOLDBERG... GOLDBERG..."
When you hear this chant, don't you feel the sensation of goosebumps
crawling up and down your spine? Every time I witness Goldberg making his
spectacular entrance, I jump to my feet and begin "the chant."
Goldberg is a great champion. And he is the greatest World Heavyweight
Champion of all time, at that.
Muscular build, speed, attractive, athletic, what else do you want in a
champion? Well, there's not much else to offer. Goldberg's total package
is one not to be messed with. Wearing black tights, Goldberg heads to the
ring with pride, dignity, and a fierce attitude that says literally,
"You're next!"
Goldberg strikes fear into his opponents without opening his mouth to say a
single word of intimidation. The intimidation is alive and floating in the
atmosphere as soon as Goldberg makes his stunning presence felt amongst the
thunderous, roaring fans. "Goldberg", they chant. As the fans chant the
name of their champion, Goldberg gains his momentum and begins his vicious
assault on his opponent, defending his deserved WCW World title proudly.
Using a variety of stunning maneuvers, Goldberg wrestles with the intensity
that can only be found in his very eyes. Bill Goldberg wrestles at a
maximum, 2 minutes in a single match before he wins.
To some, this is not entertaining at all. But to me, it's more
entertainment than I could possibly wish for.
As he gets the intense look on his face, and screams with his rage and
anger, Goldberg runs towards his opponent, lifts him off the ground, and
then tackles him to the floor very brutally, as you would see on Monday
Night Football. This attack is known as "The Spear."
After performing this masterpiece of a move, Goldberg once again calls for
the fans' support as he sticks out his tounge like Michael Jordan, and
screams in intensifying fashion. With the crowd behind him, Goldberg lifts
his opponent up as if performing a suplex. However, Goldberg smashes his
opponent to the left of his body with a devastating outcome as Goldberg
executes with raw power and intensity, "The Jack Hammer."
"1... 2... 3... Ding! Ding! Ding!"
Goldberg picks up yet another win, adding to his already very impressive
undefeated streak.
Goldberg is the most dangerous man in the wrestling profession right now.
His explosive orchestra of wrestling has revolutionized World Championship
Wrestling. One of the greatest fighting champions of all time, Goldberg
continues to defeat every man that is placed in the same ring as him.
Goldberg quickly makes waste of the WCW superstar talent that is thrown
Goldberg's way.
Let's look at the competition that Goldberg has eaten his way through.
You've got Norman Smiley, one of the toughest men in our sport. You've got
Scott Putski, one of the up and coming stars in the industry. You've got
Hugh Morris, who is just a powerhouse himself. You've also got Meng, one
of the true legends
of pro wrestling. And let's not forget one of the most technically sound
wrestlers today, Barry Horowitz.
And you know what? Goldberg has defeated all of them.
Who else has the bragging rights to say that they defeated Meng, Scott
Putski, Hugh Morris, Barry Horowitz, and Norman Smiley? No one. Bill
Goldberg is the only man alive that has the talent to defeat these fine
atheltes that are mentioned.
Bill Goldberg is presently 160-0 in World Championship Wrestling. I
believe that Goldberg will reach atleast 400-0 before he is finally
defeaten by another superstar. Perhaps Irish superstar, Fit Finlay?
Goldberg is the greatest World Heavyweight Champion of all time. He is
without a doubt, the best wrestler competing in WCW. Goldberg proudly
carries the torch of distinction for World Championship Wrestling. And if
my instincts are correct, Goldberg will remain the World Heavyweight
Champion for a long time.
"GOLDBERG... GOLDBERG... GOLDBERG..."
None of the above should be taken seriously by my readers. If you know me
like you think you do, you would know that I hate Bill Goldberg with a
passion. I would never write a column complimenting Bill Goldberg.
Infact, here are the true facts of Bill Greenberg.
Greenberg is presently 160-5. (5 losses to Chris Jericho).
Greenberg can perform only two wrestling maneuvers. (His lame football
tackle, "The Spear." And his modified suplex, "The Jack Hammer.").
Greenberg wishes that he was "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
Greenberg has bad breath.
Greenberg is paranoid.
Greenberg has no talent.
The toughest opponent that Greenberg has ever faced is Mike Enos.
Greenberg will lose the WCW World Heavyweight Championship to Kevin Nash at
Starrcade.
I'm sorry for this week's pathetic column. I apoligize to the BJchoholics
worldwide that look forward to reading my ingenious work every week on
Lords Of Pain. But hey, give me a break. Tomorrow morning I must wake up
at 7:00 am to play Volleyball at the Ontario Provincial Volleyball
Tournament
that is being held in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
So right now, I'm trying to keep my head in Volleyball. I'm not trying as
hard to keep my head in professional wrestling journalism. I know
competitive Volleyball is a lame excuse for a poorly written column. But
hey, as Homer Simpson would say in my situation, "Yeah, well... What are
you gonna do?"
I'd like to leave you with a message that a fellow Calgarian composed for
Mr. Bill Goldberg. I urge you to listen, and learn who should be the WCW
World Heavyweight Champion right now.
