THE WWF IS ONE SICK PORNOGRAPHY - LOVE IT, OR LOVE LEAVING IT
Sex? Racism? These days, sex and racism are what drive the World
Wrestling Federation to success. And man, that's just not right.
The WWF sure has changed the direction of the promotion. I remember a WWF
that represented family values. But, as we all know very well, family
values are hardly a worry that Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling
Federation have these days.
To Vince McMahon, it's not about family values. To McMahon, it's about
winning the ratings war against his rival, Ted Turner's WCW. McMahon will
do absolutely anything to beat out the competition. And when I say
"anything", I mean ANYTHING!
World Championship Wrestling represents family values and it is for family
viewing. Sure, you've got your occasional course language from Bret Hart
and Scott Hall, but all in all, the WCW is for your average family. The
WCW wins their fan base with WRESTLING. The WWF wins their fan base with
SEX and some RACISM to go along with the whole sickening promotion. If it
takes sex to win ratings, then it just goes to show how pathetic the World
Wrestling Federation really is.
When children witness Steve Austin directing his middle finger towards
Vince McMahon, they think, "Gee man, that's cool! When I grow up, I'm
gonna give my boss the finger. And then, I'll Stunner him just like Stone
Cold!" Well, in the world that I know, you don't attack your employer.
Sure, it's entertaining for adults. However, adults realize that wrestling
is acting, and that the WWF is sports ENTERTAINMENT. But children are
watching this take place. And with younger children, they don't understand
the difference between real life, and acting. To children, everything that
transpires in the WWF is realistic and believed by kids all over North
America. Should kids see De-Generation X chopping their crotches while
constantly and annoyingly saying, "SUCK IT!"? No, it's just flat out
inappropriate for children. Should children be witnessing a women's "strip
match"? No, it's simply too graphic for children to watch on television.
Professional wrestling has been compared to soap operas as being basically
the same thing. Storylines, villains, heroes, all of these three things
are what make pro wrestling and daytime soap operas so great. But did you
ever stop to think, "Man, the WWF is exactly like a soap opera. It's got
sex, racism, and killing. Have they gone too far?" No, you probably
haven't. That's because most of the people that read my column are fully
matured adults. And for adults, the World Wrestling Federation is
perfectly appropriate. But are children watching soap operas? Not likely.
So if the WWF is related to your average soap opera, then why are children
watching WWF television if they do not watch daytime soaps? To me, it just
doesn't make any sense. Because with this new "WWF Attitude", we're seeing
mature programming not fit for children.
"DARKSIDE" of "The Top Rope at TSN" tells me, "WWF is no worse than any
other program that
is on at 9 pm. Hell, take a look at an average afternoon soap opera (which
is the closest thing you can relate a wrestling program to) and you will
see...adultery, sex (even more than is seen on WWF), violence,
gunplay...and worse."
Darkside has a good point (as always). However, the one thing that
Darkside looked over was the fact that children do not watch soap operas.
However, they do watch WWF television. And if soap operas and the WWF are
so much alike, then it's obvious that your children should not be tuning
into Raw every Monday night. If your kids are die hard fans of "Young and
the Restless", then who gives a shit if they watch the WWF? But the point
that I'm trying to get across is that most children do not stay home from
school and watch soap operas. So if they don't watch soap operas, why are
they watching the WWF? Well, it's certainly not to watch professional
wrestling, that's for sure. Because the WWF doesn't represent wrestling
anymore. The WWF represents sex and adult behaviour NOT suitable for
children to be exposed.
One day a child will approach their parents, teacher, or neighbour and say,
"Suck it!" while crotch chopping, of course. And the only reason that the
child will do this is because they believe the WWF is real. However, it is
not. Do you want your children thinking that it is okay to strip naked in
public when ever you feel like it? Do you want your children thinking that
it's okay to attack innocent people? Well, if you want your children
growing up to be perverted ass holes, then continue to allow them to tune
into WWF television every week. However, I'll warn you that the World
Wrestling Federation is something children should not be exposed to. It's
your choice - make the right one.
Alot of people say to me, "BJ, you're only 13 years old. Why are you
worrying about family values? You should be cheering on DX and crotch
chopping and stuff like that. Leave the family values issue for the adults
to handle." Yeah right. The adults are really handling this issue aren't
they? I don't think so. Man, if it takes a 13 year old to stress the
importance of family values, then something is obviously not right. The
WWF must change their "attitude" before it's too late. Because by the time
I am 20 years old, the WWF will be on television at 12 am because it will
become too graphic for daily television. By the time I am 30 years old,
every WWF pay-per-view will have an XXX warning on it, indicating that the
following program shows nudity, course language, and mature adult matter.
VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
If the WWF must win their fans over by showing Sable half naked, then it
just tells you that one, Vince McMahon is a pervert. And two, the WWF is
extremely worried that the WCW will take over the wrestling industry with
solid wrestling programming. Therfore, the WWF presents sex, nudity, and
racism to attract more fans. If Vince McMahon based his program strictly
on solid angles and good wrestling, then the WCW would be burying the WWF
alive. Without sex, the WWF would be out of business; "and that's the
bottom line!"
Most of you are probably thinking, "A kid is saying 'suck it' and chopping
their crotch in public. So what!? That's no big deal. They could be
doing worse, you know."
Well, do you know what I know? I know that the children who watch the
World Wrestling Federation WILL be doing alot worse in a few short years!
The World Wrestling Federation used to respect and represent family values.
But now, to Vince McMahon, it's about sex and ratings. Personally, I
think Vince should stop wasting his money producing sex, and start hiring
some good wrestlers. Becuse quite frankly, the WWF only has one wrestler
with talent, and he is your Champion, Rocky Maivia.
World Championship Wrestling maintains a "wholesome image." The WWF
maintains a sexy, dirty image that adults and teenagers adore. But, what
about the children?
The World Wrestling Federation is one sick pornography. You can love it.

The World Wrestling Federation must be stopped before it is too late.
