His recent column titled, "Raw is PORN" is a ghastly interpretation of the wrestling business. Specifically, he talks about the Mark Henry angle and how it was unfit viewing for the audience of children. It's nice to know that good ol' Bob Ryder is looking out for our well-being. Perhaps we should all ask him to write a lengthy report to tell us what we should eat. Judging by his picture it would probably be a complete diet of Mr. Goodbars and triple chocolate fudge. When that fat-ass motherfucker gets his life in order then he can start trying to run mine.
I'm tired of people with a forum to speak telling me what is and what isn't appropriate. A vast majority of my readers are young kids. For the few adults that read this let me pose you this question: Do you want to be able to instruct your children on what they can and can't see or do you want some hypocritical sheet writer to do it? Simple question with an obvious answer. Bob Ryder doesn't see that answer and so he continues to use his power to influence his audience.
A say hypocritical for a reason. Bob Ryder IS a hypocrite. Recently on a Real Audio broadcast Ryder said some good things about WCW's Starrcade PPV. That is fine and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but....go take a look at his latest "Notes From Bob" and you will see his negative thoughts about the PPV. He likes it when he is getting paid by WCW but he doesn't when he is back in his little shell called 1wrestling.com. That is bullshit and a terrible way to earn respect for your thoughts and opinions. He gets away with it though because most people don't know that he does it.

My response is this: The same kind of sick, perverted people that worked you into giving big-time publicity to the Hogan retirement story when they knew it was only temporary. Doesn't it suck to be the sucker? Why don't you write about the sick people in WCW that did that to you? The "perverts" from the WWF put on a superior product that the smarts loved for over a year and lost every week in the ratings. You loved the WWF during that time. Now that they are slapping WCW in the ratings every week and their product is "lewd and obscene", according to your god-like wisdom, they should go back to what WASN'T working, right? Hahahahaha.
My message to everyone out there is simple. Bob Ryder employs some great people and his site is well-done. He deserves credit for that. However, his recent criticism of the product of the WWF is purely an act of ignorance. Thinking that wrestling could survive without some type of evolution in the product and the program is absolutely backwards thinking. Perhaps we should all go back to the "Golden Age" of wrestling and watch a 10 minute "psychological" chin lock during the match. Transport Bob Ryder to that time and he would probably say that it was inappropriate because it looked like the men were enjoying it too much. Bob Ryder is full of criticism and hot air. He should just be glad that he is a cynic and not a businessman.
