Guess what? WCW is up for sale because Ted Turner doesn't want it anymore. The asking price is $120 million for the name, copyrights, and all the wrestler's contracts. Vince McMahon along with a group of investors are scrounging up the money to buy out the competition. This is great news for the WWF and its fans.

What is going to happen when this monumental sale takes place? Not too many people know but let me throw out some conjecture.

Vince is probably going to act like WCW and WWF are trying to take each other over. This should lead to INCREDIBLE PPV buyrates that will blow the top off anything that has been done in the past. Most fans wouldn't even know about the sale and most wouldn't even care. Vince would job the WCW roster to his WWF and thus end the age-old question about which fed is better.

Another possibility would be for Vince to announce on RAW that there had been a secret bet between him and Ted Turner, with both putting their prospective companies on the line, and he had won. This would gather great heat, especially a Goldberg-Austin match where Austin squashes him in under 30 seconds.

Rupert Murdoch, the owner of Fox and the LA Dodgers amongst many things, is also trying to become the owner of WCW. Ted Turner, who is not good friends with Murdoch or McMahon, might have the final say on who gets the business. The winning and approved bidder might be someone no one has ever heard of. This is a possibility that needs to be explored.

What does this mean for us fans? First off, it means that there are seven hours of less wrestling a week. Considering it is WCW though, I don't really give a shit. Most on-line fans will be screaming about this, but the smarts know what is best for the business. Bischoff has over-saturated the week with wrestling and it needs to get a damper put on it. Aha. The name of Bischoff appears. What is going to be done with him? Right now nothing has been said concerning him but one has to believe that the sale of WCW is, at least in some part, due to his mismanagement of the talent. Hogan hasn't drawn ratings for over a year and yet he kept putting him on television. Not smart. Ratings mean a lot to the owner of the station (who happens to also be the owner) and is something that you strive to excel in.

Personally, I am excited at the new possibilities that will arise from this sale. I think it will be a shot into the already huge arm of the wrestling business. But only for one company. McMahon will most likely show his great wisdom and work incredible angles and work towards a Goldberg-Austin matchup where the buyrates will blow the roof off the building. I can't wait to see this develop.

But it never will. I made that entire thing up, but it is less bullshit than half the mail I get from most of you guys

Until next time.
