Fall Brawl Match 1: British Bulldog/Jim Neidhart VS Disco Inferno/Alex Wright
Neidhart and Bulldog get boo'ed which is understandable for what they did to Lex Luger, but it is the first time they have been boo'ed in WCW since arriving earlier in the year. Disco and Alex dance as usual and the Bulldog flexes which only encourages the fans to boo him more. This match saw the power of Neidhart and the Bulldog vs the quickness and agility of the "Dancing Duo". Disco and Alex get a little confused and Alex hits Disco by accident. The British Bulldog takes advantage and gets the win for his team via pinfall with the running powerslam.
Fall Brawl Match 2: Chris Jericho(TV Champ) VS Goldberg?!?!?!?!(World Champ)
Jericho and Goldberg are supposed compete in a title vs title match. I have no clue why Jericho asked for this match. It seems just like when Chavo asked for a match with Goldberg and got clobbered. Goldberg's music plays and everyone waits for Goldberg to come through the entrance way. However, a Goldberg midget lookalike, comes out and Jericho beats him easily via submission with the lion tamer.
Fall Brawl Match 3: Ernest Miller VS Norman Smiley
Miller grabs the mic and tells Smiley since Smiley is a brother like he is, he is gonna give him 5 seconds to leave the ring or he is gonna eat Smiley alive. Miller counts to five and then turns around and Smiley decks him. WCW hypes Smiley saying he is well-known in Japan and is a very skilled technical wrestler. Hmmmmmm, I always thought he was a jobber. Anyway, this match is not that good. Miller does a lot of cheap moves like rigging the eyes, etc. and a lot of karate moves which is expected given his background as a three-time world karate champion. Smiley shows some potential but not that much. Ernest Miller dominates the match and gets the win via pinfall after a top rope spinning heel kick.
Fall Brawl Match 4: Rick Steiner VS Scott Steiner with Buff Bagwell
Early on, this match is nothing but a slug-fest. Rick is crazy. He is very intense. He beats the crap out of Scotty and even throws him in the crowd. However, when Rick is going for a suplex, Scotty gives him a kick to the groin. Scott gets control of the match until Rick reverses a suplex into a DDT. Just as Rick is going to the top rope, Buff gets up on the ring apron and tries to knock Rick off the top rope. Rick jumps off the top rope and grabs Buff by the neck. How stupid is WCW? Buff just got back from a life threatening neck injury. Anyway, Mark Curtis stops the match and medical attention is given to Buff. The referee declares this match a no-desicion.After they get Buff to the ambulance, Buff and Scotty jump Ric Steiner and beat him down real bad. I will never believe Buff Bagwell again if he says he is injured.
Fall Brawl Match 5: Silver King VS Juventud Guerrera(Cruiser Weight Title)
I thought this was supposed to be Kaz Hayashi against Juvi? Anyway, this was a really good match. Juvi and Silver King impressed me with a lot of high impact moves. Silver King actually looks good in this match. He shows a lot of potential. However, Juvi mounts a comeback and gives Silver King the Juvi driver. Juvi gets the win via submission after the 450 splash off the top rope.
Fall Brawl Match 6: Saturn VS Raven with Kanyon and Lodi(Raven's Rules)
JJ Dillon follows Kanyon out and has one handcuff on his hand. Dillon says that Kanyon must be handcuffed to the ring post. Raven insults Saturn and Saturn talks about his integrity. Another vey intense match. Raven and Saturn take it into the other ring as two rings are setup for War Games. This match is the best of the night.......so far that is. Lodi gets involved by pulling Saturn off the ring apron. However, since Kanyon is handcuffed, he obviously can't interfere. Things finally start to pick up when Raven brings a steel chair in the ring and gives Saturn a drop toe hold on the chair. The entire Flock comes out and Raven tells Kidman to splash Saturn off the top rope. Kidman gives Raven a missle dropkick, which looks intentional. The Flock chases Kidman out through the crowd and Saturn gives Raven the death valley driver. Lodi distracts the ref and Raven kicks out. Saturn accidentally runs into the ref knocking the ref out and knocking himself out as well. Kanyon picks the ref's pocket and unlocks himself from the cuffs. Kanyine then gives Saturn a flatliner. However, the ref is slow to count and Saturn kicks out. Saturn then gives Lodi a death valley driver through a table!! Saturn goes back to the ring and Raven gives him an Even Flow DDT, but Saturn kicks out. Saturn comes back and gives Raven a death valley driver for the win. Excellent match.
Fall Brawl Match 7: Dean Malenko VS Curt Hennig with Rick Rude
LOUD chants of "we want Flair". Malenko is very focused. He takes it to Hennig and Rude as well because as always, Rude gets involved. Pretty much a back and forth match. Mid-way though the match, Hennig re-injures his knee. It doesn't look legit, but for the storyline, his knee has re-injured. Hennig begs Malenko to let him have a few minutes cause his knee is injured. Malenko responds by dropkicking Hennig in the knee. Hennig goes for the Hennig-plex, but Malenko blocks it and gives Hennig the same move!! It is obvious that Malenko has the match one, but Rude comes in and beats on Malenko. Arn Anderson comes out to help Malenko and he gets beat on as well. They focus on his left arm which is crucial to his arm wrestling match with an nWo member. Malenko wins this match via DQ.
Fall Brawl Match 8: Scott Hall with Vincent VS K-Dawg
Scott Hall comes out with a drink in his hand. It's obvious that the drink is alcohlic cause Hall looks drunk, but I am sure that is all part of the angle. He grabs the mic and does his survey. K-Dawg grabs the mic and goes into the other ring. K-Dawg says the black and white be talking about they be 4 life, the WolfPack is 4 ever!! He also says that the North Carolina football team and the WolfPack is bowdy, bowdy and rowdy, rowdy. Hall keeps going in the ring that K-Dawg is not in. K-Dawg in control early with a variety of moves. He is, in my opinion, the best pure wrestler in WCW!! K-Dawg gets the crowd to chant WolfPack which annoy's Scott Hall. Hall tries to go to the other ring again, but K-Dawg stomps him down in between both rings. Hall crawls under the ring and Vincent distracts K-Dawg. Hall sneaks up behind K-Dawg, but K-Dawg turns around and decks Hall. Hall goes out onto the floor and tries to avoid K-Dawg. Hall puts K-Dawg in an abdominal stretch and Vincent hands him his drink. K-Dawg counters that move, but Hall quickly regains control of the match. Hall then gives K-Dawg a belly to black suplex off the top rope. Vincent again hands Hall his apparent alcoholic beverage. K-Dawg comes to before Hall gets dowm with his drink and K-Dawg knocks him. K-Dawg then gets the win via submission with the tequila sunrise.
Fall Brawl Main Event: War Games(WCW VS nWo WolfPack VS nWo Hollywood)
Tony Shiavonne announced earlier in the evening that Bret Hart and Diamond Dallas Page were the two men that would start War Games via the lottery. Tony also said that you can win the match before all nine men are in the ring whereas in previous years, all wrestlers had to be in the ring before anyone could win. Page and Bret put on a pretty good show for the first five minutes of the match. However, neither man is able to dominate the other man and neither man gets to put his finishing move on his opponent. nWo Hollywood gets the draw and Stevie Ray comes out. Stevie and Bret double-team DDP for this two minute period. Sting comes out next and Stevie Ray meets him at the door. However, Sting quickly gains the advantage and throws Stevie into the other ring. Then, Sting does a flying cross body block onto Stevie Ray from one ring into the other!! During this time, the momentum between Bret Hart and DDP goes back and forth. Next, WCW gets the draw and Piper comes in. Piper decks everyone even his own teammate because it is every man for himself. Stings stomps Stevie Ray down between the two rings. Then, Piper goes after Sting and Lex Luger is the next man in. Luger goes straight after Stevie Ray and then goes after Bret Hart. Luger basically beats on everyone except Sting. "Bigg Sexxxy" Kevin Nash comes out next and takes care of Piper and Stevie Ray. Hollywood Hogan comes out before he is supposed to and hits everyone except Stevie Ray with the slapjack. Hogan leg drops Nash twice and then smoke fills the two rings and the Warrior appears. Hogan hits the Warrior with the slapjack and then smoke fills the rings again and the Warrior is gone. The REAL Warrior then comes out from the entrance way. It's obvious that a fake Warrior appeared the first time. The Warrior decks Hogan and Stevie Ray and then the Disciple comes out and drags Hogan out of the ring. Hogan and the Disciple lock the cage, but the Warrior rips his way through the cage and chases Hogan. While everyone is knocked out and the Warrior/Hogan have left the cage, Bret Hart, Stevie Ray and DDP come to and Bret/Stevie double team DDP. Stevie Ray missed DDP with the slapjack and hit Bret Hart instead. DDP gave Stevie the diamond cutter and got the win. There you have it, DDP will go to Fall Brawl to face Goldberg(or whoever is the champ in a month) for the World Heavyweight Title!!
