1. Buyer will provide a secure and comfortable pen and yard area with substantial room for the animal to play and exercise in. Fencing material will be strong and secure enought to prevent escape. Kennel will be at least 6 feet high with an attached roof. A wolf hybrid can jump 8 feet from a standing still position with no problem. Kennel will also be secured on the bottom with a floor wired directly to sides of kennel to prevent digging out or on a concrete slab. If the animal is able to ger out, the setup is apparently inadequate and must be mended immediately. 2. Wolf hybrid will not be restrained on a weak chain or snap. These need to be checked for wear and tear often and replaced before an escape occurs. It only takes one time for a weak link to break or snap to come undone or a collar to slip off and an accident occurs which could lead to an unnecessary and/or fatal tragety. A smaller secure snap should be used as the cub is being worked with on a leash or chain. This needs to be upgraded as the animal grows. Bull snaps work well on a full grown animal and can be purchased through a hardware store. 3. Absolutely no choke collars will be used! It is too easy for an animal to slip out of these or hang themselves. A secure comfortable collar will be supplied and replaced as needed. Collar will not be too loose as to allow escape; and also not to tight as to restrict neck movement. 4. Animal will have a house suitable to it's size - weather proofed so that it does not leak and that is warm and dry inside. Use wood shavings in the house - not straw or hay as when these get wet they emit harmful bacteria which can cause respiratory problems when breathed. 5. Proper diet will be given daily. Venison and beaver are best. These will have to be gutted as any parasites or bacteria that they carry live in the intestinal tract. Raw meat shoud be given at least twice a week to keep stool firm and dark. Also hair (hides) should be given to them - this cleans out the animals digestive tract. No raccons, skunks, rabbits, or squirrls should be allowed. Raccons are the worst carries of parvo, that there is. This can kill your animal. Parasites and worms are also a problem. A good dry dog food is also needed. No more then a 21% protein is needed. Wolf hybrids need to get their protein from a raw meat source rather then a cereal based one. Clovite (a horse supplement) is an excellent additive to their diet to keep their coats shiny and healthy. It is also a diet balancer - whatever their systems are lacking - clovite will make it up. The body will absorb what is needed and pass the rest. This can be purchased at a co-op or feed mill for around $30.00 for 25lbs.. For a growing cub, sprinkle 1 tsp. over food daily and as animal matures, up this to 2 tbs.. 6. Fresh water will be provided daily and dishes cleaned as needed. 7. Kennel and/or living area will be kept clean of droppings and old bones will be discarded - especially in the warmer months. 8. Name of veterinarian will be supplied to breeder. 9. Proper shots (puppy and yearly boosters) and wormer will be administered as needed. Heart worm preventative is a must from March through November. If Ivomec is used, the animal can remain on it year round on a monthly basis. This avoids taking them in for a yearly heart worm test. If animal has heart worm and is given the preventative, it can kill them. Ivomec also takes care of roundworm, whip worm, and hookworm and can be ordered through a veterinarian magazine (address enclosed in reading material list). 10. If animal is male, neutering will be preformed by the age of 9 months. Females will be spayed by age of 6 months. Proof of such will be provided to breeder. I will check up on this! 11. The breeder/seller does have the right to inspect the animal at any time after is has been purchased and in it's new environment, with reasonable notice. 12. If the wolf hybrid is to be given up for any reason, it must be returned to the breeder/seller. The buyer may not sell or give the animal away to another person. If a situation is discussed with the breeder/seller and is approved, then a new home may be found by the buyer, only with the written permission of the breeder/seller. 13. The wolf hybrid purchased is guaranteed to be free of major congenital defects such as hip sysplasia and/or chodrosplaysia (dwarfism). Should either of these appear as the animal matures, the buyer must provide accurate documentation of such and a written report from a licensed and practicing veterinarian. Claims of such must be made within one year of sale. 14. Firm, but kind training will be provided for this animal at any and all times and phases of its life and at every stage of its development. 15. Direct supervision of an adult will be provided during any and all contacts with children. It's not that these animals are not good with them; they are much too large and play to rought for small children. 16. Buyer agrees to accept full responsibility and liability for the future actions and/or behavior of this animal; and hereby relinquishes and waives any right to hold the breeder/seller responsible or liable for the future actions or behavior of this animal, or any of it's actions whatever the reason. 17. Breeder must have payment in full before animal is released to buyer. If a deposit is given and buyer changes his/her mind on sale, deposit will not be refunded. Also, if an animal is returned to breeder - money given will not be refunded. 18. If the conditions above are not met, buyer understands that the breeder/seller has the righ at anytime, to repossess this animal. |
