10/25/2001: St. Anthony Park (St. Paul)

October 25, 2001: St. Anthony Park (St. Paul)

Join Lois Laitinen for a hike around St. Anthony Park in St. Paul. Lois will lead this hike through St. Anthony Park, including College Park, Grove Park, Lauderdale Nature Area, Langford Park, the St. Paul Campus, Luther Seminary, residential areas, business areas, the railroad tracks, and many "secret passages." Although not entirely "wild," this hike will take you on somewhat of an obstacle course through a wide variety of scenery and is guaranteed to be an unusual, interesting hike.

If driving: From I-94 or Hwy. 36, take the Hwy. 280 exit. Get off Hwy. 280 on the Como exit. Go east on Como about ½ mile to the intersection of Como and Carter. Meet at the park benches along the street by the Muffuletta restaurant on the southeast corner of Como and Carter.

If coming by public transit: Take Metro Transit route: 3. The closest bus service point appears to be along Como Avenue. Applicable Metro Transit Map / Bus Schedule information

We will end up back at Muffuletta's (2260 Como Avenue) for dinner or dessert.
