Blue's News is a web site published by Shawn Wallin who is a local
blues guitarist/webmaster/fanatic. His site features a local artist-of-the-month
and has some great links (including, of course, his own band Cool
Disposition).

- Rockin' Daddy
and The Rough Cuts are one of our favorite local blues bands.
If you like awesome guitar, harp and super tight rhythms, they are a
band to see. They play covers and originals in a traditional electric
Chicago blues style. They're long-time veterans of the scene around
here, and they just came out with a new CD. Go buy it at one of their
shows!

Hoodoo Kings are a fun local blues band. They're a great
group of guys and they have a great web site - check it out!

- KFAI
Fresh Air Radio. If you're not hip to this station, you're
not too hip are ya? 90.3 FM (4 to 6:30PM M-F is my favorite times to
listen.)

- The
Delta Snake Blues News is an online blues 'zine. Check out
the "Talkin' Blues Guitar Series" which is an excellent introduction
and synopsis of blues guitar styles and history.

- BluesWEB
is a site with a ton of links and specializes in harmonica blues.

- Clint
Hoover is this area's premier harmonica teacher. I'm one of his
former students. He can play the blues, but jazz is his real love. Recommended
for listening (buy his CD), or learning from (West Bank School of Music).

- West Coast Swing is a ton of fun and is best when
danced to blues. Takes a bit of learnin' though. The Twin
Cities Rebels is a great club that offers lessons and dances.

- R.
J. Mischo made a name in the Twin Cities as a top harp man
and blues band leader, then moved out West. He plays with a lot of style
and feeling. His site has some good sound clips - check it out!

Blues Experience is a good looking site with links to blues webcasts,
a Bluesology quiz and more!

- Bobby Darin is one of the greatest and coolest performers
that ever lived. There are a lot of Bobby Darin sites (which I haven't
really checked out), but this is a good one: www.bobbydarin.net
