Prince Alfred Collegians Lodge.
Information received through e-mail from W Bro.Guy Williams who is researching this interesting subject.
Prince Alfred Collegians Lodge No. 51, in Adelaide, Australia, was consacrated on Dec. 6, 1907.Prince Alfred College was built in 1869 for the education of boys aged 5 to
18 years to supply their educational needs, at a financial cost, and at a mature age the previous students may become members of the School Lodge.
So in some regards it is a little unusual in that you must have attended the school to be a member of the School Lodge. Staff and relatives are also eligible.
The idea of a School Lodge was conceived at an Old Scholars dinner, where at one table there a number of masons seated together. It was discussed that they should all be members of the same lodge and that a new lodge be formed to supply the need of "Old Scholars" interested in Freemasonry.
