Christmas Angels

They will rise up in the arms of the angels
To a place far away from here
Cradled in love and assurance
To guard over those we hold dear.

They are our Christmas Angels
The twins of Faith and Hope
The Lord had greater need of them
And thus he called them home.

He had not meant to cause us grief
Or to make our days less bright
He needed two new stars in heaven
To shine down on Christmas night

And though are hearts are heavy
Our eyes filled with unshed tears
We look up to the heaven
And see our angels there.
