05/30 | One Special Moment!

The pressures of celebrity and family loyalty bare down on the two lovers in One Special Moment. Sterling Hamilton, a major action star dealing with deep-seated family trauma meets Colby Watson, an English teacher with a manipulative hip-hop clothing designer brother. The two meet via a business deal and then struggle to overcome her fears, his arrogance and the complications of a high profile Hollywood love affair.

ABOUT THE CAST . . . . . “ONE SPECIAL MOMENT”

KIRK TAYLOR, who plays Sterling, also sings on “One Special Moment,” where his original compositions appear, including the title cut. Taylor recently made his debut at the Sundance Film Festival 2001 in the critically acclaimed drama "MacArthur Park." The movie is set for a summer 2001 release. Spring of 2001, Taylor is slated to shoot "The Sum of All Fears" with Ben Affleck. Television credits include TNT's "Freedom Song," "Chicago Hope" and "Law and Order." He has also appeared in the films "Full Metal Jacket," and Spike Lee's "School Daze" and "Jungle Fever." A native New Yorker, Taylor's recent credits include "Three Sisters," "King Lear," "Our Town" and "Jelly Roll: The Music & The Man."

TAMARA TAYLOR portrays Colby. Her film credit includes the Miramax film "Senseless." Television credits include "City Light," "Early Edition," "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge," "Party of Five" and "A Different World." Taylor also appeared in the stage production "For Coloured Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf."

OBBA BABATUNDE portrays Ed. Babatunde is known for his solid acting talents on the big screen, stage and television. His feature film credits include Universal's "How High," "John Q," "The Visit," "Life," and "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge," which garnered him an Image Award nomination. He also appeared in the acclaimed HBO/Paramount Picture "Miss Evers Boys." Other films include "Soul of the Game," "Philadelphia" and "The Silence of the Lambs." Babatunde's television credits include "Any Day Now," "Soul Food," " Dawson's Creek," "The Temptations" and "Touched By An Angel." The versatile actor also appeared on Broadway in "Dreamgirls," "Timbuktu," "Chicago," "Jelly's Last Jam" and "Blues in the Night," which received a DramaLogue Award and an NAACP Image Award.

TICO WELLS, who plays James, is an actor/director whose television credits include "Law and Order," "J.A.G.," "The Cosby Show," "Beverly Hills 90210," "Martin," "Drew Carey" and more. He began his career on the live stage. He has appeared in more than 40 theatrical productions including "The Old Settler," August Wilson's "Fences" and "Two Trains Running," and George C. Wolfe's "The Colored Museum" and "Spunk." Best known for his role as "Choirboy" in Robert Townsend's film, "The Five Heartbeats," Wells also boasts the silver screen credits "The Relic," "Universal Soldier," "Drop Squad," "Mississippi Masala," "Legend of the Mummy" and more.

SHANICE WILSON portrays Cynthia. At the tender age of 14, this Star Search Grand Champion had two number one R&B hits on her debut album "Discovery." She received a Grammy-award nomination for her hit single "I Love Your Smile." Her next hit was "Saving Forever For You" from the Beverly Hills 90210 soundtrack. Shanice, who has a voice of five octaves, holds the distinction of making her Broadway debut as the first African American to star in the long-running musical "Les Miserables," playing the role of Eponine. Currently working on her second album for LaFace/Arista Records, Shanice Wilson makes a guest appearance in “One Special Moment” and is slated to record the theme song and video for the Arabesque Film series.

TAVIS SMILEY, who plays himself in “One Special Moment”, is a modern day renaissance man. The host of the television talk show “BET Tonight with Tavis Smiley,” he is also an author, a radio personality and now an actor. Smiley can currently be heard as a political commentator on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and he also appears regularly as a political analyst on CNN. Smiley is the author of several books including On Air: The Best of Tavis Smiley on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Hard Left, Straight Talk About the Wrongs of the Right and the best selling book Doing What's Right: How to Fight For What You Believe and Make a Difference. He is also the founder of the Tavis Smiley Foundation, a non profit organization whose mission is to encourage, empower and enlighten Black youth.

NOTE: As for the video, according to Shanice's camp no video has been recorded for the film. Enjoy this friday:)

05/21 | Shanice World gives Shanice A Surprise!

Well the birthday card is now officially closed & on it's way to Shanice (she maybe reading them as we speak). However before I took it down for this year, I was recently in contact with Hakim of the 80's hit Motown group The Boys now known as Sons of Light. I asked him to sign the birthday card & he did. This is what he wrote..

05/18 | Shanice Birthday & Shanice In The Studio!
Shanice celebrated her birthday this past Monday by having dinner with her husband & a few friends from her label (Arista). A quiet birthday for Neicy this year. I will leave the birthday card up this weekend, so please sign it so I can get it to her by Monday:)

Shanice is currently in New York working on her new album, due later this year. As for who she is working with, that is hush..hush right now, but as soon as details can be released, you will get everything here at "Shanice World." I'm told the tracks are HOT!!!

05/11 | Shanice Birthday & Movie!

Shanice will celebrate her birthday this Monday & of course we want to wish her a very special day. So please make sure you go & sign the birthday book, Shanice will get the book:)

Shanice will star in the BET film "One Special Moment", the movie will air on BET on June 1. Make sure you check it out.

03/08 | The Bouncer & Producers!

"The Bouncer" a game for PlayStation II is now in stores. I have my copy & I plan to play it in the next few days. Shanice sings the theme "Love Is The Gift", the track can also be heard in the sounds section. We at SW will also be having a contest starting next week to win your very own copy of "The Bouncer", so stay tuned!

So much is being said about Shanice's upcoming fall release, like who is gonna produce tracks? Well Tonex is already confirmed & now we at SW hear that Rodney Jerkins (Brandy, Destiny's Child, Toni Braxton) has also been asked to add some flavor to Neicy's release. Rodney may not be able to break new artist, but he can do wonders with established artist like Shanice Alexander. When & if it's confirmed, you'll see it on SW.

I wanna take this time to say happy anniversary to Shanice & her husband Flex Alexander. Who celebrated their first anniversary on February 19. Congratulations & many more:)

02/09 | Shanice New Film!

Shanice is doing a BET movie called "One Special Moment" about a famous young actor looking for a true soulmate. Shanice plays the best friend of the actor's love. More on this soon!

02/03 | Shanice World is Back!

+ "Shanice World" is finally back on-line & after almost a year of being off the net, I'm am glad to say I'm happy to bring it back. The reason for the long delay is the fact that I have been a very, very, busy man:-) However I am never to busy to help promote my favorite artist in the world, Shanice! Over the last year I have started a management company & I have an artist coming out real soon, I started working for a magazine that will be on shelves later this month, not to mention the fact that I also work for a Grammy award winning artist & songwriter. So with all of that on the table, I've been alittle out of the loop on website's. Shanice World is very special to me for so many reasons. #1 it was the first website that I put together by myself, #2 it's dedicated to my favorite singer & #3 it's the main reason I was able to meet & interview her in 1999. So this site will always be special to me & it will always be on-line. So I wanna take this time to thank all of the supporters of this site from day one. Without you it wouldn't be the success that it is & I appreciate the love & I'm sure Shanice does as well.
I also wanna give special thanks to to following people for always supporting this site as well as Shanice. Jeff, Monie, David, Jayzee, Glen & of course Shanice's assistant & good friend Gina, thanks for the love & support! Here's to another year of Shanice:-)

02/03 | The Latest on Shanice!

Well with the new site open, I had to have some new news, lol. Shanice will have a new album out by the years end. Shanice is still in the begining stages of the project. However Shanice has recorded some tracks for the new CD with Tonex. Who is Tonex you might ask? Well Tonex is a writer & producer from L.A & he has already wrote some hit's for alot of gospel artist including last years rave Mary, Mary. Shanice is also a married woman now as many should know. Shanice is maried to actor Flex Alexander & if you don't know much about him, you can check out the new section on "Shanice World" dedicated to him. A few more surprises coming in the next few weeks to report, so stay tuned!

02/03 | The Bouncer!

Shanice sings the lead single to the new PlayStation II game "The Bouncer." The game will be released later this month. Narada Michael Walden wrote the single, "Love is The Gift", the single can be heard in the sounds section!
