Nate's  Chevy S10 350 V8 Swap

7/10/2000-Talked to Jason Thate and a few other friends and they all agreed to help me with my swap. Hope I can steal some garage space from Jason this fall :-) I am planning on only being in the shop a week. I am going to build my whole engine first and get everything ready to go and do the swap. Should go much easier that way.

7/15/2000- I have deceided to start my V8 swap into my 1991 S10 Pickup. My uncle has an 350 V8 out of a 1992 Chevy Suburban that I am going to use. It is a T.B.I motor so everything should transfer from my 4.3 V6. I am going to go to my uncle Gene's house tommorow and tear the motor apart.

7/16/2000- I arrive at my uncles house and start tearing apart the engine. We labeled everything and put it all in Ziploc bags. We even made a pushrod holder out of an old door frame :-) I will post a picture soon!  The teardown went fairly smooth and it was quite a learning experience for me. After paying my uncle the hundred dollars for everything (motor,TBI manifold, TBI unit, and everything that goes with the motor) I headed back for Mankato.

7/17/2000- On my lunch break from work, I took the block to NAPA Auto Parts Machine shop to have the block cleaned and magnafluxed. Should be done in a couple of days.
