| Morph | Makes you do a special attack that hits of 1/8 normal damage, but if this attack is the killing blow, the enemy morphs into an item. As materias go, this one is relatively useless, save for a few rare cases. | Temple of the Ancients |

| Mimic | Allows you to mimic the character who acted just before you. The mimicking character's MP is not dimininished if he/she casts a spell, and items used this way don't leave your inventory. Limit breaks can't be mimicked unless the character who performed the limit break mimes himself/herself (i.e., in the Gold Saucer Battle Square, if you do your limit break, you can then mimic it as many times as you like thereafter!). | Small Cave by Mountains |
