It was a mild day in Hyrule. In the Kokiri Forest, Link was sleeping in his house. The past 10 years he had felt an emptiness. He longed for his sword and all of his weapons and spells. He then heard a voice which made him forget that empty feeling.
"Link....Link....listen well! Now is a time of peril. War is coming and Hyrule needs you, the Hero of Time, once more! Come to Hyrule Castle and meet me! I, Zelda, need you!"
"Ahhh!" Link woke abruptly.
"It's time Link!" said Navi, Link's fairy.
"Navi! You're back!"
"You betcha!"
"Zelda! She spoke to me!"
"Yes! Now we must go to her. First, we need to see Mido for permission."
"Fine! Let's get going!" said Link as he strapped on his pouch.
The pair then rushed over to Mido's house as he worked on plans for peace and a keep that would keep the Kokiri safe in case of attack.
"Well, good to see you Link! My, it sure is different to see a big Kokiri walking around!"
"I'm Hylian and you know that. Anyway, I request permission to go to the Hyrule Castle."
"Out of the question!"
"Why?! There is a war going on that's why! I will not let any Kokiri be killed! Now go do something productive."
"Go to hell!"
"That's it! You are restricted to your treehouse! Guards!"
5 Kokiri rushed in and escorted the much larger Link to his house. Link then waited until dark when everyone was sleeping. He slowly crept towards Mido's house. When inside he took the Hylian pike and shield given to Mido by King Luther as a gift that symbolized the allaince between them. He also took a Fairy Bow, a quiver, and 50 arrows. He was then making his way to Hyrule Castle, when he saw Hyrule Field. Gorons, Gerudo, and Stormreapers fought viciously. Axe and hammer met scrimtar and magic spell. Dead warriors were scattered all over. The Stormreapers' magic capabilities gave them the upper hand. In the middle of it all was Alleria, the Stormreaper leader. He was thrashing a helpless Goron and was going for a Gerudo. Link lept into action. He took out 2 druids with 2 fatal arrows to their heads. He then lept on top of a druid and cleaved his head with his mighty pike. Fending off magic and dagger with his shield he swung out with his pike. No one could hurt him. The Gorons and Gerudos decided to help him by fighting side-by-side instead of each other. The tide of the battle turned as Link neared Alleria with amazing speed.
"Retreat!!" yelled Alleria as he deserted his Goron captive.
The Stormreapers followed Alleria hastily and lept into a giant portal he had created.
The Goron leader, King Danath and the Gerudos' commander, Saboorno went to greet Link. "Well done kid!! Thanks for your help!!" exclaimed King Danath.
"Yeah," agreed Saboorno, Samedi's second-in-command.
"What's your name?" asked Danath.
"Link," the Hero of Time said.
"Link, eh. Well you saved us and my son who is also named Link. As a token of my friendship and thanks I want to give you this Megaton Hammer! It is one of my race's finest works! It killed the evil dragon, Volvagia, many decades ago!" As Link accepted the legendary hammer, the cold and powerful steel reminded him of "past" memories with the hammer.
"Thanks!" he said.
"Well, I gotta run," said Saboorno, "but I'll tell Samedi about you!"
"I gotta go too but, I'm sure I'll see you around," said Danath.
Then the two factions headed for their homes as Link trekked toward Hyrule Castle.
