I have been intersting in Magic: The Gathering since some friends at school started playing a game during a free day in Math, way back in 1996. It combined the collectibility of baseball cards and the replayability of playing cards. I was hooked. I've been playing off and on since then, and currently have a somewhat impressive collection. The best aspects of the game is that it is so customizable and that each game you play will be different.
While I have several decks ready to play with paper cards, I also play the online version, called simply enough Magic The Gathering Online. While it does cost a little extra change to start up a deck and find the cards you want for a strategy, there is no monthly payment or other fees. So once you have a deck you like, you can keep playing it as long as you like for free. The best part of Magic Online is that there will always be others available to play. While nothing quite beats the fun of play paper cards, it's very easy to go online and join someone for a quick duel.
