Summary:

Set against the raid on Pearl Harbor, this is the tale of two friends; one an aviator in the U.S. Army Air Corps: Danny Walker (Hartnett), and the other: Rafe McCawley (Affleck) in the British Royal Air Force. Rafe falls in love with a navy nurse, Evelyn (Kate Beckinsale), but is sent away and news comes that he's died in battle. Danny and Evelyn comfort each other and eventually fall in love. But it turns out Rafe is still alive, and he comes back, only to be sent out with Danny to head the Tokyo attack.
