Studio Days

by KAW FROM LONDON

Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz hang around the studio, while Davy Jones is at the corner store for awhile.

"So, here we are again. Old Headquarters."

"Yeah." Micky smiles. "Does it feel weird to you?"

"Nah." Peter makes a face.

They laugh!

"I'm back, mates." Davy rushes in the door.

"Hey, man." Peter says

"Let's jam." Micky hits the drums.

BOOM! BOOM! BA! Davy unplugs his ears.

"Thanks, I needed that."

Micky laughs.

"I wish Mike was here and then it would really feel like The Monkees."

"Yeah." Peter frowns. "But what can we do?"

Someone knocks on the door. Micky jumps!

"Now who's that?"

"No one else is recording today, are they?"

"Beats me." Davy shrugs.

Right on cue, Mike Nesmith walks in!

"You made it!" Peter stares at him.

"Sure, Pete." Mike smiles.

"Wow!" Micky blinks his eyes.

"'Ow 'ave you been?"

"Fine, Davo." Mike nods.

"That's great." Peter strums on his guitar.

"So, I hear you're recordin'."

"Yeah, man." Micky shrugs. "What was your first clue?"

Mike has to laugh!

"What did I say?"

"It's just like the shows, man." Mike shakes his head, laughing again.

"Does that mean you'll stay?" Peter asks.

"For awhile, yeah."

"Gear!" Davy runs over to Mike and shakes his hand. "C'mon, get on-stage."

He points.

"Ya don't mind?" Mike asks.

"Sure." Peter says.

"No." Micky nudges Peter.

"Oh, right. I mean no." He goofs off.

"Okay, I'm back." Mike gives them a quirky grin. They break into the 'Monkee's Theme'.
