Golden Sovereign broke his sire's perfect record of siring only buckskin or gray colts. Nonetheless, we're lucky to have this beautiful stallion among our herd. Sovereign lives up to his name with a rich, dark coat and thick, wavy mane. He shares a pasture with Naabesim, and while the two aren't inseparable, they have been together since birth and get along well. They especially like to race one another and have mock fights, almost like wrestling matches, to see who makes the better herd stallion (never mind that there is no herd to defend). With people, he can get headstrong when frustrated, but most of the time is ready to go. He's a great cattle horse and not too shabby at Western pleasure classes either, switching from high-speed and flash to a docile, relaxed mount. He is one of the few horses who not only tolerates but actually likes having his nose stroked. He's twitchy about his ears, but his muzzle is fair game...go figure. He's really quite a darling horse most of the time.
