Clipped Cadet
Clipped Cadet
Name Explanation: I came up with his nickname first, since it just seemed right for a chestnut. Then, since his parents were a palomino and a blue roan, he was "clipped" of pretty color. "Cadet" tied in with major, since I found "cadet blue" while looking for a synonym for "blue" from his dam.

Major is a big but very laid back horse, acting more like the family pet than a stallion. He never protests or acts up, but follows docilely along wherever he is lead. He is often ridden bareback with nothing more than a halter, but he is so calm that he can be ridden up a trail...and when turned around, you can let go of the reins and he will simply walk all the way back home. He's not only a trail horse, however. He will gallop when asked, as he is an impressive Western games horse. Major's favorite treats are snowcones -- he will dip his muzzle into the cup and gulp down the flavored ice, then flick his tongue in and out to make sure he's gotten all the flavor. Major also enjoys being bathed, and will lean into the spray with his eyes closed and lip dangling loose, absorbed in his private shower. Basically, he loves people and never tires of having his neck stroked.
