CLASS 66

Sorry but your system can not cope

The class 66 is a first for the new railway that is shaping up in the UK. The class 66 will be compatable with the class 59 and class 67. The class 66 also includes radial steer bogies with front sandboxes.

The class 66's will be used on outes where double heading will have to be done, therefore making the trip cheaper by reducing the engines tied up on the service.

The class 66 have been dubed bean can and a rumour persists that all drivers on the 66 must have a can opener handy, just in case they get trapped.

The class 66 where built from 1998 onwards and will be completed July 2000. Freightliner have ordered 5 and these will be numbered 66501-66505. In all 255 will be in the UK.
