Class 55 DELTICS

Class 55 DELTICS

The Deltics are more commonly known have been about now for some years, creating a following whereever they have been, now in their old age this machines did find the holy grail and capture the immortility of life otherwise known as "lets stops the class 66's from getting a foot hold at all costs".

They were built between 1961 and 1962 at the Vulcan foundry, Newton-Le-willows. They have never beeen used on heavy frieght trains except local freight and fast and semi fast expresses.

The deltics were replaced by the HST and now they seemed to be doom as well as more modern DMU's have taken over. How history repeats it self.
