Gettysburg
Commonly called the "turning point" of the Civil War,
Gettysburg was indeed a critical battle in the history of the War. It
would be the South's last offensive attack - from this point they
would be pursued. The North's victory and heavy losses were
commemmorated by President Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg
Address.
