Phil Scepanski, the skousaphone player, is a self-described "cool cat." In his non-tuba playing time, Phil enjoys collecting CDs and old records, movies, running in circles, run-ins with the law, making up funny nick-names for himself (ie. Baron Von Whoop Ass), making up funny nicknames for production companies with DJ (ie. You're a Jerk, No You're a Jerk, No You Are, No You are Productions), and bamboozling unsuspecting drive-through clerks with the drive-through bandits. Phil's favorite artists include, but are not limited to, Elvis Costello, the Pogues, Rancid, the Clash, Three Minute Hero, Jimmy Cliff, Toots and the Maytals, Judge Dread, the Specials, the Skatalites, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones (before 1970) and The Legendary Jim Ruiz Group.
