Chapter Twenty Two

Days passed quickly after Brittany and Taylor's smooch fest. Turns out that Diana wasn't that mad about them not being at practice. She said they didn't do that much anyways. The day before they left to go to Paris, Brittany's family finally came home. Unfortunately Brittany wouldn't be able to spend much time with them, as they had to leave the day after.

"Taylor, can I have the window seat?" Brittany asked. "No way! The window seat is mine, sista!" Taylor laughed and followed his family to the gate where the plane was to arrive at. Walker turned in all 10 tickets to the flight attendant working the ticket collecting counter. "Wow, looks like you have your hands full!" The woman at the desk said. "Oh you have no idea." Walker grinned and went to sit down with the rest of the family. "Alright everyone, we're gonna do a head count!" Diana rounded up all her children and tapped each one of them lightly on the head, counting as she did so. "Honestly, mom!" Isaac said, "Do we have to continously do head counts when you know that we are all here?" "Would you like to mother these kids for a day and tell me that you wouldn have to do a head count?" Diana snapped. "I think I'll pass on that one, mom." Ike laughed and went right on talking to Zac, who was sitting next to him playing GameBoy.

Brittany and Taylor sat next to eachother, hands connected. Tay was writing in his journal, as was Brittany.

I guess I better start with what I am feeling right now. I am nervous, and excited at the same time. Whenever I think about what happened between Taylor and I a few nights ago, my stomach fills with butterflies. I wonder what he's thinking too.

Anyways, I am at the MSP airport waiting for our plane to get here. Taylor is sitting next to me writing in his journal as well. Diana and Isaac argued a bit about a head count or something, Zac just sat there and chuckled with his face hidden behind his Game Boy.

Our first offical tour date is on June 9th in Paris. I can't wait. I am so honored that they asked me to sing with them on tour, you know it's been my dream. And for once, my dream came true.

Well, I guess I better go now. I don't have much to write anymore. Until next time.

-Brittany

Brittany finished up in her journal and rested her head on Taylor's shoulder, sneaking a peak at what Taylor had written in his journal.

What can I say? Our first tour date is in less than a week and I am not prepared. I am not usually this nervous. Maybe it's becuase the girl I love is joining us on tour to sing back-up, or maybe it's just the thought of all those screaming fans. I don't know.

There's not much to write anymore. I will continue later.

-Taylor

Taylor closed his journal and realized that Brittany had fallen asleep. "Brittany." Taylor whispered. "Brittany, it's time to go!" Zac shouted from the terminal. "Oh man." Brittany rubbed her eyes carefully, trying not to smear her mascara. "Common', lets go!" Taylor took her hand and lead her to the terminal where Ike and Zac waited. "It's about time you got over here!" Zac smiled. It always made Brittany reassured when she saw Zac's gap-toothed grin.

"Let's go!" Ike motioned for the rest of them to follow. "Yes sir!" Zac saluted Ike and marched onto the plane. "Ready?" Taylor suqeezed Brittany's hand lightly as they walked onto the plane together.
