Brittany woke up the next morning on the floor, no blanket, no pillow. She rubbed the side of her face feeling the indentations the carpet had left on her face. "I could have sworn I was on the couch when I fell asleep." Brittany had fallen off the couch while she was asleep.
Brittany climbed back onto the couch and flipped on the television. She surfed the channels for awhile, then she stopped to see "Where's the Love?" on MTV. Brittany watched the remaining part of the video and let out a huge sigh. She finally decided to get up after about an hour had passed and put on her clothes. She looked at the clock. "1:30 already??" Brittany jumped up and went outside, there she found Taylor sitting under the large tree in his front yard reading. She walked over to him and sat down. "What are you reading?" Brittany asked. "The Silver Chair, by C.S. Lewis." He showed Brittany the cover of the book. "Tay, I never knew you were into that stuff, that's an awesome book." Brittany started to recite the first sentence of the book. "It was a dull autumn day and Jill Poll was crying behind the gym." Taylor put his book down. "Britt, do you wanna meet the rest of my family?" Taylor asked. "That would be really cool." Brittany was again filled with excitement, she was going to meet the rest of the Hanson family.
