On more than one occasion I have been asked if I ride roller-coasters for a living. Travelling to amusement parks is an expensive hobby, but I love it! When I am not "working" riding roller-coasters, I am enjoying my other life.

Personal background:
I am 44 years old, and in 2002 I moved to the resort community of Holiday Island, Arkansas. Before that I lived in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota for 15 years and worked as a free-lance film and video editor. I moved to Arkansas to start my own wedding videography business in nearby Eureka Springs. My other passions, besides roller-coasters, include travelling and diners. I love eating at roadside diners, and someday I'd like to have my own diner and call it the "Eat It and Beat It."

Coaster background:
The first roller-coaster I ever rode was The Runaway Mine Train at Six Flags Over Texas. I was 7 years old, and it was the most thrilling thing I'd ever experienced. After that, my parents took us to amusement parks every summer, and I have loved them ever since. I am a devoted coaster enthusiast and am happy to talk about it at anytime with anyone! I thank my parents for getting me started in this hobby. I also owe a great deal of thanks to the many friends I've made through my association with roller-coasters, and some of them are responsible for the creation of this website.

Special Thanks:

Julie Stone, author of Julie's Coaster Pictures!
CoasterJulie is responsible for creating this website. She is the one who thought my trip reports would make a good website and it was her idea to create it. She designed the initial concept and layout, creating many of the pages herself. She generously took the time to teach me FTP and HTML so that I could then take over, finish the site and make it my own. Without Julie, this site would not exist. Thank you, Julie!

Thanks also to Jim Westland for creating the front page graphics for this site, and to Tommy Lamm, aka Reverend Tommy, for the use of his "back" photo. Thanks also to my many friends and fellow coaster enthusiasts who generously approved the use of their photos in this site. I hope you enjoy reading The Trip Report!

Today for you, tomorrow for me
