Chapter One: *Falling* in love

It was a sultry day in Tulsa, but beautiful. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, Which is extremely rare for a summer day. Jordan was rollerblading at full speed, when suddenly her front wheel got caught on a raised crack in the sidewalk, which went her crashing, painfully to the ground. "Oh my God, are you OK!?" She heard a voice ask frantically. It sounded familiar somehow. She opened her and tilted her head upward to see who the kind stranger was, she gasped. Are my eyes decieving me? She thought in a daze. "Here, you need to clean out that battle wound." The boy said as he reached for her hand to help her to her feet.

"I forgot to introduce myself," the boy smiled, "I'm Taylor." "I'm Jordan." She replied shyly. "Nice to meet you Jordan." Taylor said, extending his arm to shake her hand. "The pleasure is all mine." Jordan whispered, almost inaudibly. She was sitting in the living room pn the couch, wiping the blood from the large gash on her knee. I'm sitting on the couch in Taylor Hanson's house, I can't wait until Karin hears this! "Are you from around here?" Taylor inquired. "Yeah, I live on Ottowa Avenue." She replied. "Really!? I know where that is!" He exclaimed. He seemed excited for some odd reason. "I had no idea you lived so close." Jordan blurted out. Taylor blushed. Bad move Jordan, now he's going to think you're some obsessed fan. There was a loud screaming coming from upstairs, it sounded as if someone was arguing. Zac flew down the stairs, carrying a squirt gun, with Isaac not to far behind him. "I told you not to take my clothes without asking!" Isaac said in a raised tone of voice. "Don't move another inch, or I'll shoot!" Zac said with a mock-serious look on his face, while pointing the squirt gun at Isaac. "Oh yeah, I'd like to see you try to explain that one to mom, ya know, when all the furniture is wet!" Isaac was grinning now. "Guys, we have a guest." Taylor said through clenched teeth, he was trying to stay calm, but judging by the look on his face, he was nothing short of aggrivated. His brothers froze. "Ohhhhhh Tay's got a girlfriend!" Zac said in a sing-song manner. "She's not my girlfriend." He was blushing. "Then why are you blushing, Tay?" Isaac asked antagonizingly. "Yeah, why are you blushing, Tay?" Zac was laughing mercilessly. "I'M NOT BLUSHING," Taylor was getting angry now, "WHY DO YOU GUYS DO THIS TO ME EVERY TIME I HAVE SOMEONE OVER, YOU PURPOSELY TRY TO PROVOKE ME!" He was raising his voice a considerable amount now. "I'm just trying to get a rise out of you, Taylor, for shits and giggles." Isaac answered in his best Austin Powers impersonation. "When will you ever give up the Austin Powers impersonation, it's getting REALLY old!" Taylor's voice had gone down. "You're so cute when you're mad!" Zac chimed in, in a girlish tone of voice. "ZAAAACCCC!!!!" Taylor chased him through the kitchen, and tackled him. "MERCY, MERCY!" Zac cried. "Repeat after me," Taylor said, "I Zac will never try to embarass Taylor, ever again." "Ever!?" Zac whined. Taylor held Zac's wrists tighter, "say it!!!!" Zac repeated him and Taylor rose to his feet. "This is my brother Zac and that's Isaac," Taylor motioned towards Isaac who was now sitting in the stairway, "guys, this is Jordan." "Hi Jordan, nice to meet you." Isaac nodded his head corgially. "Hey Jordan." Zac stood with his eyes nearly popping out of his head. Jordan giggled, she could tell Zac had a little crush on her. "Nice to meet both of you." "Do you like Taylor?" Zac was blunt. "ZAC!" Taylor had obviously had enough of the whole ordeal. "Ok, ok I'm sorry." Zac put his arms up, surrenedering. Issac had all ready quietly slipped out, and Zac followed. Taylor sat back down on the far end of the couch next to Jordan. "So have you been down this way a lot?" Taylor asked lightly. "No, actually today is the first day, I've been on this street!" She replied. Jordan glanced at the watch on her left wrist, "Oh shit! I've been gone for two hours! I better get going!" She headed towards the door to slip on her rollerblades when she heard Taylor. "Wait!" She whizzed and looked at him quizzically. "Do you want to get together sometime?" He asked shyly averting his head to the ground. "Sure!" Jordan was extatic, "yeah, that'd be great!" "is tomorrow ok?" He asked. "yeah, that works." "Around 1:30?" "sure, should I just come over or...?" "yeah, just come on over!" Taylor seemed really happy about the plans they had made. "Ok see ya then!" Jordan said as she sped out the door, feeling as if she would jump out of her skin with excitement.

"Come on, come on please be home!" Jordan was in her bedroom, she had just dialed her best friend's number and was rocking back and forth on her heels. Why am I so anxious? She asked herself. "Hello?" The voice on the other end said. Jordan couldn't take it any longer she started screaming, in a state of absolute euphoria. "KARIN!!" se was giggling uncontollably, "I MET TAY HANSON!!!!!" She chirped. "gross." Karin replied sheepishly. She was not sharing Jordan's enthusiasum. "HELLO KARIN, IS ANYONE HOME!!! TAY HANSON!!!!" Jordan couldn't control herself. She couldn't believe the events that went on that day. "He's an ugly girl." Karin said uncaringly. "Whatever, Karin you don't even know him." Jordan was getting angry now. "Just because you bumped into him doesn't mean you do." Jordan's best friend stated cooly. "That hurt." Jordan said softly as she placed the reciever back on the wall. She wasn't going to let anything get her spirits down. She was going to see Taylor the next day, and that was a dream come true.
