MICHAEL ELLIOTT CD'S FOR SALEThis is my first release as a singer and dobroist. I wanted to pay homage to some of my heroes and friends like Landy Lawrence, who was my first teacher (He's also Bob Lawrence's brother!) and this is what came out of those sessions. I chose a mix of old standards and newer material that I had been playing but never recorded. So this was a dream project for me. Besides Bob Lawrence's resonator guitars, I got to use Lee Eliott's 5 string Mandele, and Allwood Banjo, on various cuts. My good friend Jenny Rodriguez sings all the wonderful harmonies and solo's on "Child of the King". Songs include The Old Home Place, Fallen Leaves, Foggy Mt Rock, Shady Grove, Sweet By And By, Ca.Cotton Fields and 6 others. Resonator guitars used:Fireball Signature,The Traditional and EL-8 string custom.
