The Doghouse - More

This view is a closeup of the Toyota Corolla aluminum wheels. The hub centers are bored out from 2 3/8" to 2 7/16", and the lug holes are countersunk for standard lugnuts. I paid $3 a piece for these lugnuts because they are quite large. The wheels are epoxy coated with appliance enamel, and have heavy duty trailer tires mounted to them. The wheel bearing caps for the hubs did not want to stay on, so I came up with another idea. I found that a standard cap from a can of spray paint, spray glue, oven cleaner, etc. would press fit nicely into the center hole. So I found two matching caps and stuck them in there. Never had problems with the bearings at all. |
