Indianhead Transport was a Minnesota based carrier that as a boy growing up in southern Wisconsin, I often saw on the highways and the gas stations in the 1970's. Their trucks were yellow and blue, with blue lettering, and a large red I and indian head.

Usually International Harvester power units pulling tankers, dry bulk tanks, and box vans.

Late 1960's International DCF-405 "Transtar-400" Emeryville Conventional. I scratchbuilt this cab, and had Bobby Griffen at www.griffendesigns.com cast it in resin for copies.

According to a long-time employee of Peterbilt of Wisconsin, the Indianhead Emeryville's were traded in on new Peterbilts in the late 70's. Indianhead also used GMC Generals, and changed their paint scheme slightly, getting away from the "war paint" in favor of a 70's 3 tone-blue stripe on the yellow.

I'll add more Indianhead pics as time goes on.
