Update on Stacys Family

It has been a year now, since Stacy passed. They say "Time flies when we're having fun," but what about when you're not? This past year has been hard on the whole family, but mostly on Tray and Autumn. Physically, Tray is doing really well. He has had to have surgery on his hands for carpel tunnel, and his scars are healing up nicely.

Autumn is also doing good physically. She has to wear a bodysuit to minimize her scarring, but it is doing wonders for her. She has a lot of questions about her mom, and misses her a lot, but Tray is doing his best to try to help Autumn understand what has happened. She knows her mom is up in heaven, but still asks if she can come home and visit her.

One time when she was at her Aunt Janet's (Oma's) house, she saw the web page tribute to Stacy, and now, any time she's at her house, or anyone elses house who has a computer, she wants to see the website, so she can see her mommy.

She also has an angel doll from Avon that her Aunt Janet (Oma) bought her.. it says a really nice Guardian Angel poem, much like how her mommy is now her Guardian Angel. I've heard she loves that doll, she calls it her mom and sleeps with it every night.

Tray has had to take on a lot of new responsibility, being the sole care giver to Autumn now. But he has risen to the challenge and is doing an AWESOME job.

As you can see from the pictures, Stacy does not have a tombstone. Since the fire, Tray has not been able to work to provide for himself and Autumn. Social Security refuses to help also. So he cannot afford to buy his wife a tombstone... all that is there to mark where she rests is a homemade cross.

While the family members help as much as they can, it isn't enough. Tray would like Autumn to have more then a wooden cross to watch over her mother.

If you would like to make a donation so that Tray can get a tombstone for his wife, you can either mail a check or money order to myself, or take it up to the Speedway at 6434 Gull Road, in Kalamazoo, MI. Ask for Janet McCormack. That is Stacy's aunt. She will make sure the money is safe until there is enough to buy a tombstone.

If you would rather mail a check or money order, you can send it to me at:

Tamika Wilcox, PO Box 176, Gobles, MI 49055.

I would like to express gratitude to anyone who is able to help. The whole family appreciates your kindness... but mostly Tray and Autumn.

If you would like to check it out for yourself, and are local, Stacy is buried at Maple Grove in Comstock, on the corner of Sprinkle Rd. and Cork St.
