This pod is designed to deliver a probot over thousands of light-years across the galaxy, 
with stealth and precision. When it arrives at the destined world the pod enters the 
planet's atmosphere, engages emergency breaking thrusters and impacts on the planetary 
surface. Once landed the pod releases the Probe Droid from its confines. Observing persons 
often mistake arriving pods as meteors. In addition to delivering a probot, the pod itself 
contains long-range space sensors.<p>

<h3>Viper Probe Droid</h3>

A probot droid aka <i>probot</i> is a dedicated, self-sufficient exploration droid. They were 
originally created for exploration, but also came to use for military purposes during the 
Rebellion. They are launched via hyperspace-capable stealthed pods to their targets in order 
to minimize the chance of their detection while providing detailed and up-to-minute data 
from many lightyears away. It is a very intelligent and cunning droid, programmed to be 
extremely curious. While quite expensive, it is unbeatable in planetary scouting. Probots 
are programmed to self-destruct to avoid sensitive information falling into the wrong hands.<p>
