:: MKM: Sub-Zero Walkthrough :: Mission 1 ::
- Objective: Collect the Three Icons Representing the Elements of Wind -
Defeat the monk at the beginning of the mission, then stand at the edge of the platform and waist for a gust of wind. Jump into the wind to be carried up to the next ledge.

Continue right by jumping from platform to platform. After running across the bridge, prepare yourself for a quite a tricky siutation--you must jump a wide gap, grab the ledge on the other side, and kill the monk on that platform before it collapses. The best way to go about this is to hang onto the ledge, then jump kick the monk off the platform as you're still in the air.

After defeating the monk, immediately hop to the next platform. Grab the power-up, then jump to the ledge below, and finally jump to the next platform before that ledge collapses.

Continue moving right until you reach the windmill. This is extremely difficult to pull off. The best to jump on the spinning platforms is to jump vertically, then move forward, while in midair, and onto the platform. Jump just before the platform is in line with the ledge you're standing on.

After passing the three windmills, continue moving right until you reach the hanging ropes. Hop to the first rope, then climb down. Jump onto the ledge to the left, then back onto the rope. Continue moving from rope to rope until you reach the end. Await a gust of wind to lift you up, then leap to the ledge on the left. Keep moving left and up until you reach the the circular key. Grab the key, then head back to the right.

Continue right until you reach the platform with the yellow circle painted on it. Access your inventory and use the circular key you found earlier. This will create a giant whirlwind a few feet in front of you. Jump into the tornado, but don't ride it all the way to the top. Instead, move straight the tornado and land on the platform to the right.

Go right until you reach the bridge. Jump on the bridge. Below the bridge is a platform and to the left of that platform is the triangular key you need to continue. Grab the key, then head back to the tornado.

When you reach the tornado, ride it all the way to the top, then jump to the right and into the cave with the triangular symbol. Use the triangular key to open the door then defeat the monks inside. This is a good place to gain experience points, so pull off as many combos as possible.

Moving to the far right, you'll spot a door. Don't just charge inside--you'll be killed. Back away from the door and find the gray square in the floor, which is the switch that keeps the door open. Freeze a monk a few times and push him onto the switch.

Run into the next room and grab the square key, then head back out. The instant you grab the key, the massive fan will become activated and try pull you into its blades, so run out as fast as you can.

Again, head back to the tornado and leap into it. This time, press down to move back to the platform just before the tornado. Make your back to the platform where you found the triangular key. Continue moving right until you reach the swinging platforms. These are slightly easier to move across than the windmill platforms.

When you pass the swinging platforms, use the square key to open the door, then hastily jump from left to right across the seven collapsing platforms.

The eighth ledge you land on won't collapse, but you'll have to jump from there to another set of swinging platforms. Continuing right, you'll find some monks and more spinning windmill platforms. After passing the spinning platforms, continue moving right to encounter a final swinging platform.

Boss: Fujin
Jump from platform to platform and continue right until you see a gust of wind. Let it push you to the top to battle your second boss--the God of Wind, Fujin. Fujin is one of the game's most cheap and most difficult bosses you'll meet. You'll have to hit him while he's on the ground and freeze him while he's flying.

When attempting to freeze Fujin while he's airborne, he spins rapidly, forming a small tornado that deflects the Ice Blast. Wait for him to stop spinning, blast another shot of ice to freeze him, then crack him with an uppercut.

Another way to defeat Fujin is to keep your finger on the RUN button the entire time and rush him with punches and throws. If he attempts to fly, immediately jump punch him. When he hits the ground, run at him and throw him.

With the final blow delivered to Fujin, run all the way to the left of the bridge to avoid his final tornado attack.
