Thanksgiving 2004

This was Jason's and my first year hosting Thanksgiving at our place. It was a little scary since I'd never cooked a turkey before, nor had such a big get together where I was in charge of so much...but it turned out great. Food was good, we played a few games, and everyone seemed to have a good time. Jackie and I ended up wearing almost the same thing, although I forgot to get a picture! And Josalynn is also in none of the pictures, even though she was there for a little while. I keep having to remind myself to take pictures!

Me and my first turkey ever!

There was so much food! (And the croissant rolls we had aren't even in the pic!)

My parents brought the ham and the candied yams. I made the rest. I was especially proud of the turkey and the gravy...actually, I was proud of everything I made. =)

In this one, my parents brought the deviled eggs and pumpkin roll, my in-laws brough the apple and pumpkin pie, and the rest was me!

Proudly hosting our first Thanksgiving.

Jason. =)

Now to carve the turkey....

Having fun with the electric knife.

His brother jumps in to help.

Playing Pictionary...one of the many games we played.

Jason and Tim hanging out after dinner and games.

Saturday we started putting up the tree.

Me putting on the lights.

The finished tree (although it looks much prettier at night).

My mini Christmas Village. Two of the lights are out for the buildings so I need to get new ones.
