For the last five years Takumi has done the late-night tofu deliveries from his father's shop to the hotel on the other side of Mount Akina. In doing this he has developed incredible driving abilities far beyond that which many ever hope to achive. His downhill racing abilities are second only to his father Fujiwara Bunta. His friends do not know of this though. Unlike them he really doesn't have much interest in racing as they do. They soon realize his incredible talent when he goes up against Takahashi Keisuke. He wins against Keisuke and earns the reputation of "The Legendary Hachi-Roku of Mount Akina" in the street racing world bringing street racers from many regions to challenge him and also earning him a full tank of gas for his date with Mogi the next day. ^_^
