ESCANABA MAN FATALLY HURT

"FALL ON SIDEWALK CAUSES FRACTURED SKULL TO O. DESJARDIN"

Onesime DesJardin, 65, was fatally injured last evening when he slipped on the wet sidewalk in front of his residence at 512 S. 12th Street, where he lived with his daughter, and fell on his head to the pavement. The fall caused a fractured skull from which Mr. DesJardin died within about 15 minutes.
Mr. DesJardin had just stepped from an automobile to walk into the house about 6:45 when he slipped and received the fatal injuries in this fall.
For the past five years Mr. DesJardin has lived in Escanaba with his daughter, Mrs. Irene Frappier, and for 30 years previous to that time he was a resident of Cooks.
He was born in Montreal, Canada in 1869.
He is survived by four sons: Solomon, Arizona; Henry, Manistique; Napoleon, Cooks; and Oliver, Escanaba. Three daughters: Danalda Mathieson, Escanaba; Claudia Poupour, Cooks; Irene Frappier, Escanaba, and one sister, Lena LaCrosse of Escanaba.
The body was taken to the Boyce Funeral Home but no funeral arrangements have yet been made.

OBITUARY

ONESINE DESJARDIN


The body of Onesine Desjardin, 65, who died of injuries received in a fall in front of his home Saturday night, was removed from the Boyce Funeral Home to the family residence, 512 S. Twelfth Street at 11 o'clock Monday morning.
Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock this morning at the Catholic Church in Cooks. Rev. V.C. Savageau officiating, and burial will be in the Cooks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dominic Poupour Sr., Dominic Poupour Jr., John Archambeau, John Rouchleau, Onizen Demars and Arthur Demars.
