(3) A match between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant ends in controversy. The title is declared vacant and a tournament is set. In the finals, Randy Savage defeated Ted DiBiase to win the title.

(4) A match between Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker ends in controversy. The title is declared vacant and a battle royal is set. Ric Flair eliminated Sid Justice to win the title.

(5) Shawn Michaels becomes injured and is unable to defend the title. A match is set between The Undertaker, Vader, Bret Hart, and Steve Austin. Bret Hart defeated The Undertaker to win the title.

(6) A match between Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and Kane ends in controversy The title is declared vacant and a tournament is set. In the finals, The Rock defeated Mankind to win the title.

(7) Mankind defeated Steve Austin and Triple H in a three-way match to win the title.

(8) Vince McMahon is unable to defend the title. A match is set between Triple H, The Rock, The British Bulldog, Kane, Mankind, and The Big Show. Triple H defeated The Rock to win the title.

(9) Due to a pre-match stipulation, the title can change hands in this tag team match between Triple H, Shane McMahon, and Vince McMahon against The Undertaker, Kane, and The Rock. The Rock defeated Vince McMahon to win the title.

(10) Chris Jericho defeated Steve Austin to win both the WWF World Title and the WCW World Title. Both titles are now referred to as one title called the "WWF Undisputed Title".

(11) As of May 6, 2002, the WWF Undisputed Title is now refered to as the WWE Undisputed Title.

(12) The Rock defeated Kurt Angle and The Undertaker in a three-way match to win the WWE Undisputed Title.

(13) After controversy erupts about this title on September 3, 2002, this title is now refered to as the "WWE Title" and no longer has relations to the WWE Undisputed Title.
