Hey, if you read Glenn's post he wants people to post their old Wheatus stories so here's mine. And other US and OZ frogs, post your old Wheatus stories too.
Anyway, my story starts one morning back in July. I was watching MTV and a video comes on by a new band called Wheatus. So I started watching the video, and I liked the music. But then they started singing, and I was like wow, his voice is really annoying, they suck, but at least the music is good. Then when he got to the girl part I was like wow his voice can get pretty high.
After that I kinda forgot about them for a month.
OK, now here's a new paragraph. I don't usually use different paragraphs in my posts lol. Anyway, a month after I saw the video I went to see Sugar Ray at Musikfest with my friend Jimmy. First Breeze came out and they sucked. We had seats in that place, and even though you didn't need to sit, everyone sat through that performance anyway. Then I was ready to see Sugar Ray, and the annoncer guy came out and was like this next band is starting to become famous with their hit Teenage Dirtbag, and I was like hey, it's that band Wheatus. Then when I looked at the stage, they were magically there, I don't know how they got on the stage since I didn't see them walk on, they were just there lol.
So they started their set, and I was like hey, they're pretty good. The more songs they did, the better they got. Then after 6 songs, they left the stage, but I don't know how they left since I never saw them walk off the stage, they just did. The only part that sucked about it was that no one was standind up for it, everyone was still sitting. So after that Sugar Ray came on, they rocked, but you guys probably don't care about that part. Plus I later on heard that that show was Wheatus's last show without a tour bus.
So anyway, I kinda forgot about Wheatus for another month after that. Then Jimmy finally got the CD, and I was at his house listening to it, and I was basically LMAO for the whole cd. So about a week later I finally got the cd. It became one of my favorite CDs.
Meanwhile, Eve 6 was doing some thing where if they get on TRL then everyone that helped them get on got an autographed poster. So I decided that I'd sign up for the Wheatus mailing list just incase Wheatus did something like that too. So the same exact day that Eve 6 got on TRL, I got an email saying help Wheatus get on TRL and you'll get an autographed poster and a sticker. And they had a sn of someone you could talk to about it if you had any questions or anything, which was WheatusRocks.
So a few days later, I decided to IM WheatusRocks since I didn't have too many people on my buddy list (I had just gotten aim so I only had about 15 people on my buddy list.) So I kept asking her every Wheatus question ever, and she answered all of them without getting pissed off (Shira rocks!). So then a few days later the Eve 6 board I had been on for about a week changed locations and you needed to register again so I said screw that and I came to the Wheatus board instead. I never made a starting post saying I'm new or anything either, I just kinda came out of no where.
So I was there for a few weeks and no one knew me, then I finally posted my aim sn, then I had about 20 people IMing me I didn't know, I tried talking to all of them but it was hard, and eventually I got to know everyone, I came to the board everyday, I constantly complained about never meeting Wheatus since everyone else had, then the OZ fans came, then Wheatus left for UK, a million new fans came, Wheatus never returned to do a gig since then, etc. the end.
Wow this is my longest post ever. And I didn't proof read it like I normally do so there's probably a million mistakes in it lol.
