was an fab day! the best! well, i think now id better tell ya about it, lol met gemma (littlemissmolko) walked to the uni, we waited there for about an hour and a half, before we realised it was the totally wrong place! there was no room there for the bunjee jump or anything! so we asked a helpful security guard, and ran there! we arrived, wandered around, and gemma saw the bus! they were there already!
as we approached the bus, brendan came out! he just started waving at us! we told him about us being at the wrong venue, and he laughed, lol, and then he was shocked that i had to pay 16.50 for the almost same journey that gemma paid 3.00ish for! he was like, y did they make u pay more, lol, then he did the funniest thing, he leaned really close to me, ad pulled down his glasses, he peered at me, and was like, what colour r ur eyes? lol, i quite taken back, i was like, green, lol, then he asked me about ma contact lenes, he seemed fasinated by the colour, saying it was cool that they were tinted, lol, then kathryn came out arounfd this point and was really friendly! he was wearing the cool top gemma made and was like, its my fave! I told him that I would like to make him a teeshirt, but it would end up ruined with holes from where i tried to iron it! They both laughed at me, lol we just chatted for a while, it was really cool, i asked them about the inside of the bus, lol, and he started pointin out the different areas to me, and saying like where the tv was an everything, lol, he became really animated, lol, then he was like i think we have to go back to the bus now, he said we should be able to get into soundcheck, then as he left, he said, btw, if anyone askes, ur just looking round the campus, lol, so u dont get thrown out.
we did wander a bit, but only as far as some benches, and sat there, lol, mike, liz and pete then reuturned from the hotel and shower, they didnt come over, coz they werer in teh 'artists only' area, but we got a few waves from pete and mike.as brendan and kathryn left in the car to go to the hotel, we got a lil wave from kathryn to, brendan didnt c us till they wer turning the corner, lol
cue much more waiting, then they returned, and we saw shannons g/f's two dogs running around, he he, border collie and mix breed.
the soundcheck. brendan came out of the tent, and spoke to rob, and pointed at us, lol, then rob did this to a security gaurd, he came over, and we were like, aww man, were gonna get chucked out, lol, but he just said, ive just been speaking to rob, and he said u can go into the soundcheck!
once inside, we waited for like and hour of one, one, two two, lol, and various members of thw band kept on wandering in and out, at one point, this guy was smacking the drums really really hard and it hurt, i winched, brendan saw me, lol, and gestured for us to put our fingers in our ears, as he did it, lol, so the three of us have out fingers in our ears, lol, was funny
finally, time for the band to rehearse, lol,
liz and kathryn were in very smily modds, lol, and mike was very alive to, lol, it sounded ace to us! but at one point, brendan was really unhappy with it, and was like, that was blues in key crap, lol, they had to keep doing one song, coz pete was happy with it or something, adn at one point, brendan said, id rather have an infection in my anus, then a cold in my throaght, or soemthing like that, lol, i really liked american in amsterdam, and lemonade, and freak on, in fact, all of them! they didnt do any album songs,
it was fantastic, like our own mini concert, just two frogs, and wheatus playing! it was over too soon, and they all left, except mike. he saw that we were left alone, and jumped off the stage and came over, he was like, how r ya guys? he was realy nice to us, and quite funny! at one point, he was like, did u get enough pictures, did u enjoy it? then he said hed have to go, so i said, thanks, and c u in stoke, he was like stoke? i said, yeah, when u play on the 26th, he just looked blank, sugar mill? i offered, he showed us his lil schedule and it said tbc (to be confirmed), and i said, yeah, but tickets for it are on sale online, lol, he said, i guess were playing it then, lol, so i was like, so what? u just turn up, and play, lol, he was like, yeah, story of my life, lol, then he ahd to leave, we said goodbye and see u soon, i totally forgot to get any pics with them or get anything signed, lol, but i did enjoy just chatting to them, i was alot less tongue tied then last time, lol
anyway, security now forced us out, and we went and sat on a hill while we werre waiting for gemmas mum,i decided to go thank them, so i went down to where they werer having a very smoky bbq, and said to pete, and rob (i cant remeber who else was there) i said, thanks for letting us in, they were like, your welcome, i said id really enjoyed it, and good sounndcheck, lol, they just smiled, lol, mustve thought i was weird, lol and thats it, out wheatus adventure over....sorry about it being so long!
