Hey all,
Well Glasgow was my last stop with the Wheatus guys. As sad as it was, I was also kinda glad cause I have bruises everywhere, Iv lost my voice... 11c and Im shattered..lol.
Anyway, went to this gig all on my ownsome. Arrived in glasgow just after 3.30pm sometime. Went up to the venue (of which was not very nice), had no idea who to ask about the soundcheck, so just waited outside. Then I saw 2 girls walk past and they stood 1000 beside me, so I pounced on them with "Are you Flick and Jem". Luckily it was (otherwise I would have just looked crazy) so chatted to them. 2 other frogs standing at the other side of me were asking about the soundcheck, so we started chatting away to them, then another 2 froggies came from the other direcion. (Binx-is that it?? I dunno how to spell it..soz, and rockindog). So we all chatted, until the dude from the past 2 nights came out to give us our soundcheck passes.
We got in the building, and the soundcheck pass dude started winding me up again about trying to get friends in, and how he was glad i came on my own etc. Was kinda funny!
So, we waited around for a bit, then Ashley (mijit) and her friend came in, so went to chat to her. (see how I just attached myself to people- cause I have no friends...lol) Then we all heard a familiar drum beat, but we didnt seem to be getting let into the soundcheck. So I asked the security dude if we could go up, but he said "no". So we all started edging our way up the stairs, then he said "right you's can go".
So we ran up the stairs, and headed in. Venue was quite big. Biggest Scottish gig I think. So we all stood, listening to the great music, got some good photo's. It was all good. lol Paulene and Lee came in just as the soundcheck was finishing, so went to chat to them for a bit.
Brendan and Pete both came down to speak to us all after the soundcheck which was very cool. hehe. Then the securty chucked us out, like the evil creatures they are.
Me, Flick, Carly and rockin dog went down to Mcdonalds to feed and water ourselves, while the rest waited in the queue. Made a nice change from waiting in the cold like the past 2 nights.
Just after 6 we headed back up to the venue, and joined Ash, Jem etc at the front of the queue. Paulene and Lee soon came out the pub and joined us...lol. We all chatted, and amazingly the time passed pretty quickly compared to the other nights.
7pm the doors open, and once inside nobody knew the way, so I sort of ran up the stairs, round the corner and up more stairs ahead of everyone since no one knew the way. Joined Paulene and Lee and the front, soon joined by Flick, Jem, Ash, Carly and everyone.
Relish were good again-getting to know some of the songs by now, so was dancing away at the front..lol.
Then WHEATUS BABAY!! They came out, and the crowd went mad!! Brendan said "this I think has been the most fun crowd so far" to which everyone went mad again. hehe
Got totally squished at the front. We made up a lil sign thing that said "Last night for the Scottish frogs, we all want on stage at the best gig ever" Love Scottish Dirtbags, MadSaz, Mijit, Binx and rockin dog. hehe BBB read it out. Was very cool.
So we got on stage. Can't wait to see the photo, when I was on stage, I took a pic of the crowd cause they were bloody insane!!!
Then once again, sadly it all came to an end. We headed outside, where I waited till around midnight with Flick and Jem, Carly and rockin dog to see wheatus. But about 12 I decided I would just go home, cause I had a long journey home ahead of me, and I was freezing, my throat hurt etc and i had met them already in the soundcheck, as well as in the past 2 gigs...so off I went. ]
See if they came out just as I left!! grrrr...Jem, Flick...did they??????
Well, my wheatus adventure is over, but I have 2 inservice days off school to recover. yay!! Plus now I get to see my lovely boyfriend...lol.
Well, thats all. Everyone that I met, was all very cool to meet you all! it totally rocked meeting fellow obsessed people!! lol
