On Tuesday i got the 11am train to Birmingham, then the 1pm coach to Plymouth which took 6 hours! I met up with Kayz (i think her bbs name is ~!kayz!~ but i dunno, her Audiogalaxy board name is
Offspringrival...) anyway, i met up with her and we went back to her house, we spent the night listening to wheatus, watching films and stuff and then we went to sleep and got up @ 8.30am the next day, we got ready and caught the 12.30pm train to Truro which got there at just gone 2.30pm. we managed to find the venue and the bus was already outside.
We spoke to Kathryn, Liz and Pete who were looking for coffee and then i went inside to pick my ticket up-the stupid venue people had no record of me ordering a ticket and tried to make me pay for it again, then they told me to come back at 7pm and ask again.
We went to spar and bought some food and then came back to the venue, after a bit of waiting around we spoke to Pete for a while-he seemed pretty amazed at how far id traveled to see them and was concerned about my ticket not being there so he said hed get me in if i still didnt have it by 7pm (from then on everytime pete saw me hes like *did u get ur ticket yet? are u ok??* aww)...Rob had lost mike so he went off to find him and then it was time for soundcheck.
Soundcheck was pretty short, they played american in amsterdam a few times-bbb changed to words to "im an american in afganistan" :oP and then Pete started playing the drums and bbb started singing *listen to my drums dont they sound good? listen to my drums dont they sound good?* lol...
Mike was really hyperactive and kept on shouting random stuff, then he came off the stage and stood next to me for a bit and then just started randomly prancing round the venue! they played freak on, lemonade and anyway and then souncheck was finished. We got lost trying to find our way out of the venue but eventually we managed it! it was still only like 5pm so there was noone else there, but kayz had forgot her ticket, phone and camera so her dad came and gave them to her, Pete and Mike wondered past and posed for kayz to take a piccy and then bbb came out, we spoke to him for a min and then he went off to find the others.
We waited ages for the doors to open, saw Pete and Mike again-i still didnt have my ticket so we went into the venue and i asked for it and she said i still couldnt have it (it was like 7pm now) so i told asked her if she knew whether Pete had come back yet so i could tell him i didnt have my ticket and he could sort something out for me, then the miserable woman got all stroppy and gave me one of the spare tickets. Eventually the doors were opened, there were 3 sets of doors and the ones that were opened were the ones with a huge queue and me and kayz were already @ the front of the queue @ one of the doors that wasnt being opened so we had to barge our way thru and eventually we somehow managed to get to the front.
For the whole gig i was stood next to these 2 really annoying girls who only came to see Halo and kept on slagging wheatus off, and on the other side of kayz was a group of girls who kept screaming *Brendan we love you*-how much did i want to punch them in the face??? urgh. When Wheatus came on Kkathryn waved @ me and bbb mouthed *heelllooooo* @ me which was quite funny coz everyones looking around at me like *OH MY GOD SHE KNOWS WHEATUS!*!! they played the usual stuff-ALR is actually on the set list as 'FUCK BUCKET' now and 'Lemonade' was listed as 'Melonade'! during fairweather friend bbb decided to go for a wonder and ended up walking round the whole balcony, when he came back he was like *do u realise how cool it is up there??* then he said to mike *from up there u actually look like a rock star or something!*...for TD bbb got this 3/4 year old girl onstage (along with this really annoying bitch who kept grabbing him and hugging him and singing into the mic and the security guy had to keep telling her off! if thats u, im sorry for calling u a bitch!) anyway, the little kids name was dorothy and bbb sung *her name is dorothy, i have a dream about her* awww she was so cute
After the gig finished we waited round outside and spoke to Mike for a bit, then Pete, who had a broken pen so i gave him mine and he signed something for this girl and then gave the pen back to me and im like *its ok, u can keep it* and he was SO excited hes like *really??? i can keep it??*-he said it was a 'cheerful commodity' or something ?!?
we kept speaking to pete for a bit longer and then i noticed Shannon wondering around on his own so i went *awwww look at Shannon, hes like *hey! im in the band too!!* so then shannon came and spoke to us and then some other people came up and one of the girls was going *i think his names steve!* and i was taking the piss outta them like *we dont know who u are but sign this anyway!!*, then shannon went to find beer and we went back to speak to pete..after a bit longer brendan came out and there was only me and kayz left waiting for them, we spoke to bbb for ages-he was depressed coz hes been reading Kurt Cobains autobiography and he told me i have to wear ear plugs @ the next gig coz i was too close to the speakers..(maybe ill just wear like, industrial strength headphones when halo are on and then take them off for wheatus!)
We spoke to Kathryn for a bit about her *revealing* top that almost fell off onstage, they all got a bit concered that we were caming out, but they thought it was cool...
then shannon came up and sat next to me and put his head on my shoulder and went *Please dont hate me, please dont hate me coz im not phil* and i was like *i dont hate you!!* and he said that earlier when i spoke to him it made him paronoid when i was going *noone knows who shannon is* so i told him that i didnt mean it nasty, i just meant coz unless ur on this board u dont know that phils left and shannons joined. so me n shannon had a hug and i told him i dont hate him and he made me promise that i dont hate him and then he pretended to cry so im like *at least ur better in wheatus than u were in relish! relish were rubbish!!* so then shannon was like LMFAO and he went to brendan *did u hear that?? gemma said relish are rubbish!!* and bbbs like **gasp* theyre a good band!!* and im like *nnooooo theyre not!* lol, then halo came out and bbb made them go into the wheatus bus for a party so shannon dissapered in with them and we phoned for our taxi, when the taxi came we said bye & got hugs from bbb, pete & kathryn...mike had dissapered off somewhere....
Kayz was dead excited coz it was her first gig and she was like *:oO its wheatus and ur hugging them and touching them and talking to them like youve known them for years!!* lol...
then it was time to go to a lovely muddy campsite @ like 1am and be freezing cold and soaking wet, and then we got up @ 8.30am this morning and went back to plymouth where i got the coach and its 8pm now and ive only just got home so im gonna go to bed now i think!!
ive missed a big chunk of that out actually, but ive rambled on enuff...
