Then brendan and kathryn had to go back to the hotel to have a shower after the otheres had come back so brendan told us we'd be allowed into soundcheck @ 4.30pm but until then if anyone asks were just *having a look round the campus*! we found some benches and sat there for a while and noone seemed to take much notice of us apart from a guy who kept going past sqealing *wheatus* @ us in a teenybopperish way...then at about 5pm this guy came and told us we'd have to think about leaving and im like *ahem*"we're with the band, brendan told us we can stay for soundcheck" so then the guy obv. thought we were someone important and left us to it...
at about 6ish we were let into the marquee for soundcheck, the guys didnt actually come on for ages coz there was millions of ppl fiddling with mic's and the drums and stuff...while they were playing with the drums they were banging them really loud and im like *urgh* coz it was going right thru me, so bbb put his fingers in his ears and told us to do the same, so i did and managed to hit myself in the mouth with my camera @ the same time and that killed and my tooth was bleeding-i thought it was gonna fall out!
They had the new back ground up @ this gig with glenns frog and the stage was set up loads better than it was @ essex with shannon and pete on their own little podium thingys..
When soundcheck eventually started it lasted about an hour, they played anyway (which was loads clearer than it was @ essex, u could actually understand what bbb was singing) they did something which im guessing was the instrumental unless they were just fiddling around for ages, but it sounded like a proper song so i reckon it was the instrumental-bbb said it was *the blues in chord crap* or something like that! they played american in amsterdam, whole amoeba a few times coz pete kept needing to do it again, freak on and lemonade, song that i wrote and a little bit of hump em n dump em..
after soundcheck mike came down and spoke to us for a bit Mel: "im coming to see u @ the next gig in stoke on trent" Mike: "we're playing in stoke on trent??? *looks at his pass* it says to be confirmed" Us: "its confirmed now, the tickets r on sale." mike:*confused* lol! and then when we looked round bbb had dissapered so just as we were going off to find him to say bye and thanks for letting us in and stuff, this securitys guard like escorted us out of the place! we went up on this little hill outside the venue while we waited for our lift home and we could see the guys having a barbeque. it was a steep hill so i was kinda stuck up it but Mel managed to go down and say bye to Pete and Rob...i kinda just stood there and waved while shouting *I stuck!!!* i eventually managed to get down by sliding on my ass!
im @ home now, i missed ant n decs new show tho so im a bit gutted coz everyone knows im obsessed with ant n dec and my boyfriend recorded it but he missed the start..ooh i just remembered something else *scrolls up to add it in*
my pics will be posted sometime this week...im going to cornwall on tuesday tho for the Truro gig so they might not be posted till i get home on friday
