Standing at the fork in the road
The big decision
No turning back, the door is closed
Busy clocks tick
Time cannot stand still while she chooses
Voices call her both ways, split her thoughts in two
Should she step into the unknown?
Take a chance she might fall from grace?
Or should she stay on the path steady?
Where her feet know their way
To her right, a bright and sunny way displayed
Security and all its glory smile to her, beckoning
No danger nor adventure lurk, no chance of pain nor fear
But does she want the well-worn path, with all it’s pleasant lures?
The left path is dark and gloomy
Shadows pave the way, excitement calling, enticing
Uncertainties litter the path, strewn without care
But at the end could there be, a more glorious finale?
A prize to outstrip the steady ones, who knew what theirs would be
