H: How are you all?

P: Good

H: You look quite subdued, what's wrong with you?

B: Nothing

H: Are you ok?

B: Yeah

P: I’m not subdued, no, I’m predude

H: That’s good, I like it, now listen, your new single is a Eurasiar cover, how did that come about?

B: It’s a good song

H: It’s a very good song, why did you choose to do that song?

B: Coz it’s a good song

P: And we found that we could play it on our instruments and so we went with it

H: Now you first single Teenage Dirtbag, was no 1 in when I was in Australia at Christmas, it was huge. What was the inspiration behind Teenage Dirtbag?

B: Just what it was like to be at high school, you know? Remembering what it was like, and all that

P: Wow, your poetic today!

B: (Smiles!)

H: Are you two ok over there, you’re chewing lots of gum, but your not actually saying anything

Pe: We're not allowed to talk

H: Your subdued, your not allowed to talk, ok. Now tell me about your album?

B: We made it in my mothers basement.

H: In your mothers basement?

B: It took us 3 weeks

H: That’s not long

B: That’s all the time we had

H: Tell me about the songs

B: Well, urm, interestingly enough, we like them better than our 2 singles,

H: Really? Why’s that?

B: We all have a favourite, and I don’t think that any of us have a single as a favourite

P: No, it’s, the record was a fun thing to make, we all got together to work on someones idea, like Brendan had an idea for the record, kind of a ticket to it’s fluition

B: urm

P: it’s fluidness, it’s a liquid album

B: Clap! (cue clapping from Brendan, Mike and Pete directed at Phil)

H: Now Brendan, you’re a huge star wars fan aren’t you?

B: Well, I’m a yeah, I’m a pretty big star wars fan

P: Huge!

H: Any inspiration in the songs?

B: Yeah, quite a bit, but not literally, coz I’m afraid to be sued by George Lucas, but, you know?

H: Are you going to be touring the uk soon?

B: We’re on tour in the UK right now, yeah

H: You’re playing T in the park to aren’t you?

B: We are tonight

FOLLOWING WORDS ARE TAKEN FROM THE TOTP'S WEBSITE . . .

"Following the huge success of 'Teenage Dirtbag', the Nu-Metal wusses return with their cover of Erasure's 'A Little Respect'. Wheatus called the band after a nickname that lead singer Brendan's father used as a kid. Although the band have been compared to Nirvana, they laugh off the comparison, claiming that they are not worthy of such praise. The band recorded this performance a few weeks ago and certainly gave the audience a bit of a shock... You'll have to see it for yourselves, but let's just say that it was a rather 'fruitful' rendition of the song!"

Look out for more to come in the near future!
