Unfortunately, the world is all about progress and quick turn around. And more and more of these places are disappearing. Except, of course, cemeteries. And even those are "progressing". The stones are smaller, the layout of the land is flat. Some don't even have trees. The mausoleum? A thing of the past, I believe. And perhaps someday, even burial in the ground will disappear.
These images capture the places, not in thier past glory, but current state of decay. And saves them for the time they will be gone. These places have had lives imprinted on them. For some, it's memories. For others, some may say they are haunted by the very souls of those that once lived and/or died there. But what ever you believe, the places themselves exist. At least until they are all "progressed" off the face of the earth.
