A few words of insight on the above photos from Mary Steffler(Rheaume):

The 2nd picture - the cute girl on the lawn is Aunt Laura with Teddy,Grandma's blonde Scottish Terrier.  The 3rd is Valley View house in front. Mary, Henry,Sr., Laura, 'Chip", grandpa's short-haired English Pointer, and Olive Rheaume.  7-passenger Packard is in the background!  ---Pop's pride & joy--- all heads turned to look at it as we drove by!  It must have been the original station wagon.  This was a 1941 Packard.  He tried to buy another one in 1949, but he choose a Cadillac instead.   #4 Front view of Valley View hill.  Aunt Marilyn by the apple tree half-way down.  Grass was grazed by the cattle.   Mill Road is in the center. #5.  Henry and Mary standing in side-driveway in back of Rheaume home at 8105 Dexter Blvd., Detroit ,Mi. Approx. summer of 1928--- Henry 4 1/2 years old, Mary @ 2_ 1/2 yrs.   Sunflower Picture_____Olive and Mary Rheaume holding up giant heads of sunflowers in Grandma's beautiful, large garden. Approx. 1937-38.   Grandma had a huge garden every year where we have our reunion games.   From the pine tree at the road all the way to the pergola.   Last picture.  Front of Valley View house. Henry, Sr. standing in doorway.   Henry, Jr. and Mary sitting in grass with dog "Chip".   Colored picture of pergola.   The only colored one in the bunch!  Grandma took up a hobby of coloring with oil paints and she did a lot of pictures including the huge murals of the farm.  Tell you more history when I see you .   Love, Aunt Mary Steffler

P.S: That's a great picture of your Mom and Grandma sitting on the swing on the front hill with the Mill Pond in the background!
