Sprint Parade 'Spring Parade'

The books say that 'Spring Parade' has flowers of "clear scarlet red," but as you can see from the photograph here, which is fairly accurate for color, this is not true. The flowers are a purplish red, perhaps more purplish than most ironclads, but that's okay. So it isn't a perfect red, but it's not bad if you want something purplish. I purchased this plant at the ARS Ann Arbor chapter's spring plant sale in 2000, so I don't have too much to say about it yet.
