Experience: Well, I first heard of Good Charlotte when I heard "Little Things" on the radio. I thought it was a cool little song and that it was funny. So then I went on their website and found out who they were. I went out and bought the CD and was instantly hooked. On September 1st GC came here to play at the Arts, Beats and Eats Festival. They were the first act onstage ( Pheonix Plaza Ampitheater) and it was like 4 p.m. I missed that performance, and found out the next day that they had been here. I was really disappointed.Especially cause I was there, but just didn't know THEY were there =0( Then, later I found out that GC was going to be on tour with Fenix TX and that they would be at Clutch Cargos on October 28th. My friend Angie and I went out and bought tickets. Then I had a brilliant idea. I'm currently taking journalism and I want to get into public relations after high school. I love GC, so why not interview them for our school newspaper? So I e-mailed their manager and my request was forwarded to their publicist then to their tour publicist. After lotza emails, I finally got a time and place--6 p.m. at their merchanise table.

Now forward to the day of the concert-------> We got there at 3 p.m. and the we were let in at 4 p.m.---we were "frisked" and I almost wasn't let in because of my camera and tape recorder. I had never been to Clutch Cargos before, but it was so cool. It use to be a church. It's a nice, small little venue with a balcony surrounding the stage/performance area. I got a free GC poster and went to say hi to Gary, their tour manager. He held onto my poster for me and we went to get front row ( it was general admission ). The "backstage" area was like just the sides of the stage---there was a door and then just a little space. Cyrus and Jordan from NFG kept coming out and I waved to them ( I didn't know who they were though). Then I saw Joel come out and I was like "JOEL!" he turned around and I introduced myself and we talked for a while---( thats when I took the pic of him in the shadow) After, I went back so I wouldn't loose my spot. The next guy I saw was Aaron--I wasn't sure it was him, but I said hi and he waved back. Then I saw Billy and then Benji--I waved to both of them and to benji, I pointed to his hair and then to my pink feather slap bracelet =0). The show started and Lefty was great----then came GC---I was so psyched when they started playing---Billy was on my side. Joel has AMAZING stage presence and the band is AWESOME live. The crowd surfers were......well, lets just say I got kicked in the head one too many times (LoL)! They opened with "Walk By". During the performance Billy walked out onto the side of this speaker and almost fell-----it's a good thing he didn't. We left during "Little Things" because it was 6. When we got to the back (where the merch tables were) we saw the guys of Lefty and talked to them for a while. Then after a while Gary came and we waited for the guys to come. Benji came first and we talked and then he started to help Gary sell t-shirts. Then slowly each guy came and fans started to come. I gave Benji my HOT PINK FEATHER SLAP BRACELT and Billy my black star cut out one)Paul looks totally different in person--I had seen him onstage and almost didn't recognize him. For like ther next couple hours we just hung out with the guys as they sold t-shirts and talked to fans. I'm so in awe of the guys--they are so humble and down to earth---they talked to EACH and EVERY FAN and sold their own merchandise------"and for another 3 bucks, u can buy a sticker pack." I wanted to help so bad, but they wouldn't let me. We also met Billy's friend Tommy (from home in MD) who came out to the show from school at U of M. Then as the crowd died down, Benji, Paul, Angie and I went downstairs "backstage" to do the interview. Only Benji and Paul came cause they like to do interviews in "twos" or it gets too confusing. We went down and the guys of NFG were hanging out with an 11-yr old fan (aww...) After the interview, the boys went upstair and we hung out with NFG for a while and the went upstairs. Then we went back upstairs and we saw people from school and I introduced them to some of the guys of GC. Then angie and I took a couple of our friends downstairs and we chilled with Paul. After a while we all got kicked out because the "club" part of Cluch was about to open so we went upstairs. The show was almost over cause Fenix was on and all these kids were dancing onstage. We hung out till the end and said goodbye---then Aaron wentout to the van cause he promised to give me his copy of the Wakefield demo---(THANX Aaron--I luv it) and that was the last time I saw GC. I miss the guys alot ( and it's only been like a week! ), but they'll be back in January in time for my b-day. I can't wait for the next show---till then, I'll be out REPRESENTIN' GC cause they're out representin' us!!!
