The Band
This awesome band from Maryland has rocked the music scene ever since their self titled debut album came out in September and even before. In 1996, Joel and Benji wanted to start a band. They knew Aaron from school and Paul through his sister. The boys got together and jammed----and it just clicked. Then Billy was asked joined the band because they wanted another guitar player...and poof......GOOD CHARLOTTE! The boys played countless local gigs and the DC radio station WHFS's HFStival(for the past 2 yrs) where they started getting noticed and this eventually led up to them getting signed.
Now how did they come up with the name Good Charlotte?? Well, believe it or not, the band is named after a book. "Good Charlotte" by Carol Beach York (shown below)
Anyways, they named the band after this book because it was supposedly Joel's favorite book when he was little and also because the boys just thought it was a funny-looking little book. It's about these girls at an orphanage and all their adventures---including the mysterious blue-haired girl. Go check it out when u get a chance!
